❝ they say that love is forever, your forever is all that i need, please stay ❞
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | He was going through with it. He didn’t have the pressure of graduating from the Knight Academy looming over his head anymore. Not to mention his patrols have become more adjustable that he can juggle other things in between. A very important matter was about to take place. Otherwise he’d just continue to go about his life not knowing what could have been if he backed out of this. No more being a cucco!
With a clipboard in one hand, and a quill with ink dabbed at the writing end, he wrote a letter. Each letter was written carefully whilst not rubbing the edge of his palm against the paper. A soft smile graced upon his lips after he finished. Folding it once, he slide it gently into an envelope. Shooting an ear-piercing whistle, he called for his loftwing, Zen, who replied rather quickly. “Here boy. You know what to do with this, right?” Handing the majestic bird his letter, Zen took it in his beak then spread out his large wings.
Dear Cassie,
I hope I’m not interrupting you of anything important. Can you meet me over at the Goddess Statue? I have something important to talk to you about. I'll be waiting.
Sincerely, Seth Aram
After Zen took off into the sky in search of the recipient, Seth quickly made his way from the academy section to take the bridge over to the Goddess Statue. Already, he could feel his stomach being filled with feathers torturing it mercilessly. The time in between waiting, wandering if she’ll come or leave him hanging didn’t help matters either.
When he reached the Goddess Statue, he waited in the center point of the outer sanctuary. Hard to be missed when you’re in the middle of the picture, right? |

DREAMED OF PARADISE EVERY TIME SHE CLOSED HER EYES No one had warned her about the paper work after she became a knight. Cassandra swore she could countless hours at her desk wishing she had never wanted to become a knight, but then she would recall how exhilarating it was just to fly. Besides, not all of it was paperwork. She had recently taken on a squire, which certainly took up a good portion of her time as well. It felt odd to her to be training someone that was only a few years younger than herself. Perhaps it would take her a long while to completely grow used to it, but she enjoyed training Guinevere a great deal thus far. Her thoughts scattered when she heard a knocking on her office window. Cassandra tilted her head to the side and was rather surprised to see it was Seth’s loftwing with a letter in his beak.
It had her wondering what her friend wanted from her. It had been awhile since the two of them had spent any time together. She pushed herself away from her desk and walked towards the window to open it. The letter was soon deposited in her hand before she stroked Zen’s beak in gratitude. Cassandra hummed thoughtfully as she opened the letter and read the message with a slight smile. Something important to talk about? Her brow furrowed in thought over what the topic could possibly be. Perhaps he had been given a patrol mission of some sort that went beyond the boundaries of Skyloft? There was nothing important for her to attend to at the moment, so she straightened out her desk before leaving her office.
The walk took her a few minutes from the Academy to cross the bridge that lead to the Goddess Statue that loomed over Skyloft. Cassandra spotted her friend soon enough and she smiled light in greeting. He appeared to be fine physically, but there was a nervous energy around him that concerned her. “What was so important that it couldn’t wait, Seth? You look like you swallowed a lemon,” she teased in greeting. Hopefully none of this was anything bad, but she was preparing herself in case this topic turned out to be unpleasant. @seth She is oblivious to his feelings. >3>

❝ they say that love is forever, your forever is all that i need, please stay ❞
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | … Maybe it was a good idea to back out of this now? No! He waited too long for this opportunity to throw it away. Holy Hylia, he’d never been so anxious about anything on this level before. If the waiting wasn’t going to kill him then getting to the heart of the matter was. He had so many images playing through his head of how this scenario would play out. Most of them ending with her giving a pretty little smile and saying along the lines ‘I think it’s best that we stayed friends’. Seth was letting himself down right before he had a chance to convey his feelings. There were many things the one-eyed Skyloft Knight wanted to be, but being just the boy next door type of friend wasn’t one of them.
Unless he had no other choice. Today was going to be the day he’ll find out~ He looked up to the bright blue skies. Recollecting the years that passed by from the very first moment he met his fellow hybrid knight academy student. He remembered all of the scolding and tutoring he asked Cassie to help him in. Or the mean tricks he played on her so she’d be mad at him. The kind of teasing that showed he wanted her to look his way. Then worry constantly over the times she ignored him for it.
He parted ways with memory lane the instant he heard footsteps echo closer towards him. Reopening his lone green eye, he looked over to see the long-haired brunette. Seth smiled brightly as she greeted him with a light-hearted observation. “You don’t beat around the bush, do you?” he chuckled softly. Here's your chance, tiger. Go for it!
“Uhh… I… Um…” Very eloquent. “Soup! The soup of the day had lemon extracts in it today.” What the hell? No! That wasn’t what he wanted to talk about. Was it too late to go crawl into a corner and hide forever?
“That’s not what I wanted to talk about…” He sighed, “Cassie, I need to ask. What do you think of me?” |

DREAMED OF PARADISE EVERY TIME SHE CLOSED HER EYES Cassandra did not like to sugarcoat things, which was something Seth should know by now. His anxiety had her curious as to what he wanted to tell her so badly. It had her trying to piece together any of their past interactions that could give her an answer to what this meeting was about. No, she could not really think of anything out of the ordinary. She bit her bottom lip as she viewed him with a quirked brow. “Well, why walk in circles when it seems this topic is important to you?” she replied with a slight shrug. His nervous energy was certainly impacting her, though. She shifted from one foot to the other in an attempt to expel the sensation, because she disliked feeling nervous quite a bit.
Soup? Soup with lemon extract? Cassandra was not ashamed to give Seth a rather deadpan stare at his ridiculous words. When had Skyloft ever served lemon soup? Her remark had been a teasing jest, but he had responded as if she had actually meant her words. Something really was weighing heavily upon her friend, and she was ready to ask him what was wrong at this point. Cassandra blinked owlishly at the unexpected question on what she thought of him. Her expression morphed into one of confusion as she tried to figure out where all of this was coming from. Somehow it felt like a loaded question she had to answer very carefully.
“You’re my best friend, Seth. I think you’re kind and funny and wonderful. Why?” Her words were the truth, but she somehow thought they would not be what Seth had been hoping for. Cassandra was beginning to believe that this was going to be about something she had never really given thought to before. Was he trying to gauge her feelings in a romantic sense? Her cheeks heated a bright pink at the possibility. Well, this day had certainly become much more awkward than she had wanted.

❝ they say that love is forever, your forever is all that i need, please stay ❞
★ | Cassandra Amell | ★ | I can imagine way back to their first incarnation on PoL their confessions were something like this. xD |
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | It was time to jump into the awkward bubble. His face turned red rivaling his crimson locks from the instant embarrassment he put himself in. Cassandra’s bluntness was one of the many traits he found endearing about her. He didn’t have to hide anything from her… except for his crush. There was only one time they ever talked about having an interest in somebody in a romantic sense. Seth did mention he was interested in someone, but couldn’t bring himself to telling who it was. She was beautiful, talented, and seeing her around always brightens the Skyloftian’s day. ‘She’s a lucky girl.’
And she had no idea.
His green eye flickered up at the question. She took her sweet time to answer causing his heartbeat to increase a few paces faster. Only when the brunette finally answered did he feel like an arrow shot him right to the heart. Just a friend. Well, to be more precise, her best friend. Awkward didn't do it justice.
“You’re my best friend too,” he replied back with a small smile, “There's nothing I wouldn't do for you, Cassie. It’s just that… I wondered if maybe – just maybe you may have thought of me… more than friends?” Goddesses, how does one confess? He wanted to throw himself off the floating island and never look back. “Remember when we talked about the person I really liked back at the Academy? My feelings haven’t changed over the years.”
In fact, he could say that being by her side made them stronger. Directing his only functioning emerald orb into her pretty eyes, he smiled bashfully. “The girl I’ve like… a lot, ridiculously like a lot… for all this time is you,” he finally said. “Ever since the beginning, when we were training to become knights we are now…” Even when that punk Alexander got in the way of everything, hogging Cassie’s attention for himself. It didn’t matter. So long as she was there, at the time, it was enough. But he didn’t think it would do him any good anymore to hide it.
“So… yeah.” His face was competing for deep shade of red against his hair. “I like you.” |

DREAMED OF PARADISE EVERY TIME SHE CLOSED HER EYES When had all of this become so very awkward? Cassandra felt the urge to wring her hands with her nervous energy, but she stood resolutely in her place. This was certainly not what she had expected when she had read Seth’s letter earlier. It struck her as odd that he could possibly carry feelings for her, and it left her feeling flustered and confused. Honestly, it reminded her somewhat of her old friend Alexander and the obvious feelings he had held for her. Of course, both of these men were quite the opposite of one another. Where Alexander had been open in his flirtations, she had never suspected Seth of harboring feelings for her. Was she really that oblivious to the emotions of her friends?
Cassandra bit her bottom lip and looked at Seth with some hesitation. Had she ever thought of him as more than a friend? When she was younger she had harbored a crush on him, but she had placed away the feelings as nothing more than a girlhood longing. She had made herself believe that he merely thought of her as a friend. Now it was years later and her feelings were confusing now that they were resurfacing. Did she feel for him what he felt for her? Not exactly as he wished, and it felt somewhat awkward to think as the young teenager she had been. Cassandra bit back the urge to sigh as she shook her head somewhat. “I didn’t know you had meant me. I never thought you would have liked me that way.”
She had the feeling her own face was a bright shade of pink by now. The urge to wring her hands was stronger than ever, and she fell prey to it at last. “O-okay, then,” she murmured softly, wincing at how tactless that sounded. “I care about you a lot, and I did like you when I was younger. I-I just don’t know how to answer these feelings now, but I am grateful that you told me.” It was a uncomfortable topic for them both, but she did not wish for any secrets to be between them. The two of them had been friends for far too long for that sort of thing. @seth It does remind me of that, and now I have all these feeeels. ;A;

❝ they say that love is forever, your forever is all that i need, please stay ❞
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | “It was because I knew you were exceptionally close with Alexander,” he explained with a smile, “I didn’t want to get in between what you two had. Kind of an unspoken code between men.” He rubbed the back of his head nervously as she pointed out being unaware of his feelings. Mind you, Seth thought that Alexander was a little shit but he wasn’t stupid enough to ignore that Cassie cared for the blonde. With his sudden disappearance, Seth wanted to at least get it out in the open that she had more than one admirer.
He smiled softly listening to her explanation. She liked him too way back when?! Damn it, why couldn’t he be aware of the telltale signs? He shifted his gaze away to hide away the tint of red on his face feeling really embarrassed in realizing all of this. Could he have been any stupider?
“I-I’m sorry. I know it’s out of the blue. I… waited too long to say it,” he confessed. “And you don’t have to answer me right now because it was just random. As I said before, I’d do anything for you and if it meant waiting then I can do that too. I’ve waited already for years to say this.”
She didn’t quite say no. That alone gave him a little bit of hope. Feeling that the air of tension needed to be dispelled, he pointed up to the skies. “Do you want to go out for a flight for a bit?” he offered. “It’s a beautiful day out. Be a waste to return back indoors behind all the stuffy paperwork.” Really, he was shameless in the sense of wanting to spend more time with her. Maybe it was a little selfish, but who knew when they’d have moments like these ever again? It was the only way he felt he could save face from completely embarrassing the crap out of both themselves. |

DREAMED OF PARADISE EVERY TIME SHE CLOSED HER EYES Thinking about Alexander was always a sore point for her. Things had not ended smoothly with him, and then he had simply vanished afterwards. Cassandra had wanted to search for him, but a part of her hesitated in doing. Perhaps she would never really wish to know why he had disappeared without a word and had thrown his future away. “Well, there’s nothing to worry about now, I suppose.” It still hurt her in some ways, but she had moved on as best as she could. It was silly that apparently two people had shared feelings for her, though. Cassandra could not really understand for the life of her why either of them felt such a way about her. Emotions from years ago did not become less complicated even when they were all adults at this point.
She was glad of his patience for allowing her to process all of this. A slight smile curled on her lips, but she shook her head when he admitted he would do anything for her. Cassandra could not fathom how she deserved someone like Seth in her life. Things were going to be confusing between the two of them while she attempted to figure all of this out, though. “I just need to time to process all of this. I don’t want to hurt you if I can help it.” The last thing she ever wanted to do was hurt her best friend. She had to see if she could reciprocate his feelings like he seemed to want more than anything.
The offer of flying was a nice change of topic, though. She was going to have so much to think about when she returned to her office. All of this required careful consideration, and now she had to figure out her confusing emotions towards Seth. “That sounds like a good idea. I’m not in any hurry to return to my paperwork,” she replied with a light laugh. It took very little effort on her part to reach out for Caedmon with their mental link. Her loftwing responded quickly, and it would only be a moment before her friend flew overhead. @seth I do embrace them, SeySey. *~*

MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | Bringing up Alexander probably wasn't the smartest idea. Watching her expression sober from the awkward tension that was enticed by his confession made him feel like an idiot. He really did hope whatever drove that man to suddenly disappear like he did was that important. So much so that it meant going rogue from Skyloft. Because it also came at the expense of hurting somebody that not only he cared for, but Seth cared dearly. On the bright side, he knew now more than ever that he should be the one to stay by her side where others have left. There wasn’t anywhere else he’d rather be.
Seth smiled brightly as she agreed to go flying with him. They could start out slow. Cassie had more on her mind to think about than a childhood friend’s feelings spoken too late. He could settle his affections for less until an answer finds itself to her. “I’ll meet you in the skies~” he chirped merrily. He established his mental connection with Zen before he heard his buddy nearby. The loftwing floating about which gave him the green light to race off to the open jump and landing balcony.
Dashing off, he ran over to the balcony edge near the Goddess Statue before taking an ever so graceful dive off the last supported surface. The free fall made butterflies flutter in his stomach before he whistled for Zen to come get him. Before he realized what was happening, the large bird had caught up and he was riding on the loftwing’s back.
“How about a race?” he offered. “First one to the Lumpy Pumpkin wins~!” |

DREAMED OF PARADISE EVERY TIME SHE CLOSED HER EYES Cassandra was happy to place this serious discussion aside for now. Seth had certainly given her quite a lot to think over for a long while. The last thing she wanted was to ruin her friendship with him, but she worried about not being able to return his feelings. All she could do was see how things went for now. It would only be awkward if she allowed it to be. His feelings for her did not change the fact he was still her best friend, and he always would be there for her. At times, she wished she had a close female friend she could speak of these things to. Her tomboyish nature had always seen her hanging out with the boys, though. Some things did not really change through the years, right?
Her lips curled into a smile as Seth quickly headed off of the edge of the floating isle to meet his loftwing in the air. Cassandra was content to wait for Caedmon to glide down towards her and allow her to climb on him that way. She ran her fingers through his blue feathers lovingly, and her loftwing cooed happily at her in return. Her loftwing soon stretched out his wings and took off into the skies as well. When had she engaged in a relaxing flight that did not include patrols? It really had to have been quite a few weeks if she could not really recall. She reminded herself to cut back on the paperwork when she did get back to her office, but what was the rush?
It did not take her too long to catch up with Seth. Her brow quirked somewhat at the offer of a race. Cassandra could not help the grin that curled on her lips. The idea of racing had her feeling rather childish, but she liked the sensation of not acting her age for once. Becoming a Knight had quickly chased away most of her lingering immaturity. How would any of the squires take her seriously if she continued to act like a mischievous girl? “Alright. But what’s the prize for winning?” she asked with a smirk. Where was the fun of a race without a prize to win at the end of it.

❝ they say that love is forever, your forever is all that i need, please stay ❞
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | That's the spirit he'd been looking for. His lone green orb looked back watching Caedmon carrying his lovely rider at high speed to catch up with Seth and Zen. A prize for the winner at the end of the race? Seemed only fair to have rewards for the effort they're going to put in their childish games. He didn't care. There once was a time when they were both just kids. Statuses, where they came from, or whether they were a boy or girl – none of that mattered except for just having a good time. That is exactly how he wished for things to flow between them. Nothing should come between what was already there.
It was a lot easier said than done when the ache in his chest pestered him. A risk and an idea popped into his head about the kind of rewards he could take on. “If you win then I'll... wear a bunny suit. If I win then... let's go on a date on your next day off.” Maturity could be put aside for a while. Not like he really made an effort to make sure the squires of the academy respected him. He was sure to be scolded for his antics already. You're only young once before the grown up world came knocking on your door.
So he wanted to treat moments like these, as if he was playing in the playground, as if it would be the last they'll ever see. Zen kept a steady glide up in the air. Wind whisked about his crimson locks. “Ready?” He didn't mind either option... too much. Actually, if he lost and had to wear a bunny suit... He was having second thoughts now. Maybe that wasn't such a good idea to offer. |

DREAMED OF PARADISE EVERY TIME SHE CLOSED HER EYES It would be rather nostalgic to race him like they had once done as children. The absence of Alexander was an uncomfortable one for her, since he had joined them on such ventures if only to prove he was a better racer than Seth. Cassandra found it hard to believe she missed the time when her two boys would fight over her attention like idiots. Now she had no idea where her knight was, and her old friend was confessing to harboring feelings for her. This day had certainly left her with enough emotional musings for a long way. Caedmon was a comforting presence in her mind as he soothed her gently. At least he was the one male in her life that would not give her any troubles of the heart.
Amber eyes widened when she listened to the bet Seth soon made. A bunny suit if she won, and a date with him if he won. Why would he ask for something like that? He had said he would give her time to think things over! Cassandra felt some annoyance before she quickly shoved it aside. Honestly, it was more of the fact she had not been on a date in years that scared her. Besides, it would be a good way to see if the two of them could work together in such a way. All she had to do was make sure she won this race. “Alright, I agree. I hope you don’t mind if I make sure to parade you around the entire academy while you’re wearing that bunny suit. Your future squire will realize what a manly knight they will be getting~!”
Her lips were curled into a smug smirk as she leaned forward on Caedmon. Oh, Seth was going to regret suggesting this bet. Cassandra waited for him to ask if she was ready before urging her loftwing forward. Caedmon shot forth without any preamble, and she could feel the wind rushing through her hair. What? Neither of them had set any rules against cheating, so she was going to use any advantage she could to make sure Seth was wearing a bunny suit before the end of the day. @seth My muse is being horrid, too. </3
