HAI YAI FORCES It didn't matter if they got plastered as long as they had rank. Well yes it did; it led to poorer job performance in the long run. It could lead to poorer results and once poor results started coming in, it really didn't matter what rank you were. Even the highest of kings would probably feel it in their ass if they kept doing a bad job. "Yeah, I'm totally sure your fearless leader would be totally okay with you planning strategies and tactical maneuvers while completely drunk." And he had a feeling that she wasn't really the one at the top of the Gerudo food chain to begin with. That said, he found her observation not to ingest chu jelly to be rather humorous when he thought about it. "Oh with all the shit you regularly take in I'm sure you could drink the jelly and be just fine." What was he saying normally went into her stomach? Well, he wouldn't exactly say, at least not right now. She could just deal with it and let her own mind wander on the subject. "And the idea of assclown really only lasts so long as you aren't exactly a threat on the battlefield; which I assure you, I actually am." Oh yes, to him he was quite dangerous. But that just left the matter of these 4 chus. Once this was done, he hoped that they would be closer to the end at least. Taking Silversnake, he rushed in to help with Amala, slashing one of the green chus twice in order to finish it off. Of course, being outnumbered, it wasn't all fun and games, as the other managed to splash him a little bit. It was nothing severe at all; a slight burn, but at least they were that much closer in getting through this fight. Green Chu Chu A: Green Chu Chu B: Red Chu Chu A: Red Chu Chu B:

They were at it again. Sure Chus were a low risk ordeal, but they honestly just used the combat as a way to idle their limbs while their mouths bickered like an old married couple. That, or like a very poorly matched date. It was an odd mix of amusing and annoying simultaneously, and she almost wanted to tell them to shut up. It wasn't really worth potentially angering either of them though, at least not until her use for them was up. Then she might consider it. Perhaps though for now it was worth observing, as the conflict may also be stemming from their differing races. Being a neutral party she rarely ever had to deal with such things, especially since most of her interactions were strictly business.
"It'd just feel worse since you're getting hit in a bigger area, though longer exposure would also burn quite a bit. I doubt that'd ever happen though; Chus rarely get bigger than this." she answered Amala's question casually, noting the burns both of them suffered. They also managed to take out one of the chus, but were focusing on striking down the others rather than collecting due to the mob-size. That meant she had her work cut out for her, sighing as she secured her tome to her belt before pulling out an empty vial with one hand and gripping her staff in the other.
"Hrón envinyata yú!" she recited, the staff glowing as the wounds on both Amala and Night were mended, her finally joining the fray and making sure to be out of the line of fire of their weapons. With the vial, she scooped up some of the jelly from the slain Green Chu before it dissolved and scattered back into the earth. However, that left her vulnerable to one of the other Chus, and she got a prompt slap to the back from the jelly. Her clothing shielded her from the burn, but the force was not pleasant to deal with. my soul was filled with crystal light. "Intoxication begets creativity," Amala told the mercenary primly. Not to mention that her fearless leader was still somewhere out in the desert, as far as she knew. She'd never even met the man. Din knew why; maybe it was a Pharaoh thing. Her own mother had been pretty tough on her, but it was tough love, and she'd never exiled her to the desert for thirteen years. Regardless, she probably would have to tone down the drinking thing when she went home, as much as she hated to admit it. She'd never tell Nightmare that, though. Wouldn't give him the satisfaction.
'- the shit you regularly take in-' was really all she heard of his next comment, since she snorted so hard she choked and was desperately trying to remember how to breathe as she put her spear through the last of the green Chus, finishing it off and getting a fresh new splash-burn to replace the one Naomi had healed. "Point," she wheezed eventually, making a noise that might've sounded like a laugh if she hadn't been coughing so much. The quantity and quality of the fluids she'd ingested over the years was not a subject to get into in the middle of a battle, even if it was against something like Chus.
Unfortunately she'd been so busy hacking and killing the green Chu that she hadn't seen the red Chu wobbling over to slap Naomi, though she promptly smacked it away from the wizard as soon as she saw and reached it. "You are ferocious," she teased Nightmare as she took a moment to procure an empty vial from her belt and hold it out to Naomi, figuring she'd want to move away as quickly as possible rather than juggle her own with hands full of staff and jelly. "I've never seen such brutality in Chu-murdering before. It's terrifying, really." She actually didn't doubt that he was a capable fighter, but, really, he didn't need to know that. |

HAI YAI FORCES Intoxication begets creativity? How could she be so utterly sure that it was such a great thing however? "Creativity isn't always good. You can get wasted and wake up wondering 'oh shit, did I seriously stack up a bunch of bottles in the shape of a dong in my superior's office?'" Of course, he'd never personally done anything like that. But the few times he did get wasted, which were actually quite few, he had ended up embarrassing himself, Cassie more, more often than not. Sometimes he scared the living daylights out of her. He remembered getting thrown out of her room a couple times because he'd prank her while he was drunk or something. "But I will have you know that I am more than you think. Besides this sword is really dull, I need to get it sharpened back up to speed at some point." But of course he really didn't have the money for it right now. Which was kind of why he needed to get money, other expenses aside. He was starting to realize that running a Mercenary Company also had problems with its upkeep. Maybe if he did well enough here he could get some future work. In all honesty though, it was kind of sad, a knight of Skyloft and now he was a merc. Rushing in to work in tandem with Amala, Nightmare slashed the Red Chu twice, bringing it down once and for all. Oh yeah, once this was done they'd have pretty decent amounts of jelly to work with for sure. Taking his vials, he made a rush to grab jelly wherever he could. Once that was out of the way, he just simply stood back for now. He was sure the Gerudo could finish this one up on her own without any issue. "Alright, just one left then." Really, it was just one chu, how hard could it possibly be for them to take the thing down. Green Chu Chu A: Green Chu Chu B: Red Chu Chu A: Red Chu Chu B:

Despite the awkward moment of getting slapped in the back by a Chu, nobody seemed to really comment on it. In fact, the chu in question was slain almost immediately after. Perhaps they just took the whole notion of "Wizard" to mean "Cannot fight in melee". While that was technically not true, in this instance it was if only because she didn't bother to bring her sword with her. She needed the belt space for all the other supplies. Still, if they didn't think it odd or annoying then all the better. It'd allow her to focus on the more important things, like jelly gathering and healing. Speaking of...
"Hrón envinyata," she muttered as the glow enveloped her back before fading. The pain was gone now and there wouldn't be any bruising. She'd have to patch up the other two in just a second. For now, there was just one more chu to slay, and jelly to collect. The jelly-filled vial in her hand was placed back into her satchel and she retrieved the vial from Amala, preparing to gather the jelly from the last red Chu. With this, they should have a decent supply to at least continue onward with. She had ideas for the future, and these two may be interested.
"So seeing both of your performances, I'm thinking I might have more work after this. Resupply and reconvene at another location where I know that Blue Chus spawn, we can rake in a lot more jelly from there. If you're up for it, I can give an advance and turn some of this jelly into potions for the trip." she offered to the two, figuring they had enough that she could afford to turn a couple into potions as incentive for the two to continue their services. Who knows, may be she'd get lucky and not have to track down more hired hands. [Healed Self] Tags: Nightmare Darklight, @amala Current Hearts:

my soul was filled with crystal light. Amala just huffed a laugh. "Troops assemble in dong formation," she said with a grin. "Penetration is go." That was bad, even by her standards, but she couldn't resist. It was right there. Right there.
She hadn't really paid any attention to Nightmare's weapon until he pointed it out, and when she took a good look at it she visibly cringed at how obviously dull it was. Her own spear wasn't exactly fog-cutting sharp, considering how old it was, but it wasn't-that. Her mother and mother's mother were obsessive about maintenance, and she was raised to be the same. It could probably use a professional's touch as well, but Serket was in decent shape, all things considered. "You really should," she said, eyeing the sword like it'd give her a disease if she went too close to it. "Obviously skill is more important than gear, but gear is still pretty damn important."
Nightmare finished off one of the red Chus and went to gather the jelly, leaving Amala with the remaining chu. She jabbed it twice and it died, and she gathered up jelly herself, corking the filled vials and bringing them over to Naomi. She took a moment to consider the wizard's offer and shrugged. Sort-of-free potions sounded great and she didn't have anything better to do, probably. "Sounds good to me." |

[Night said to go ahead and skip to finish up the quest] With the last of the Chus slain, Naomi relaxed her shoulders. These were a good warm-up for what she suspected was to come with their next little venture. They had enough chu jelly to get started, and it seemed they even found a few odds and ends buried in the jelly of these chus. Going back over the vials, she nodded to Amala and then to Night who had simply chosen to remain silent but nod at the proposal of continuing before holding up her staff to the gerudo.
"Hrón envinyata," just like before, Amala's wound was healed, leaving all three of them in tip top shape. Securing her staff and tome, she placed the remaining vials into her satchel before looking back at the other two, "Alright, gather whatever supplies you need and reconvene here," she pulled out a map from the other satchel and unfurled it, indicating where on the map to meet up, "Prepare for a bit more of a fight this time. We're gonna be murdering a lot more chus."
With that, Naomi headed off in her own direction. She had something in particular she needed to retrieve to speed up the process this time. [Healed Amala] Tags: Nightmare Darklight, @amala [QUEST COMPLETED. THE WHEEL OF FATE IS TURNING, REBEL TWO...]
