Kairu sat in the corner of the inn, bored out of his mind. With no jobs are stable source of jobs lined up for him, he had nothing to do. Which, for someone with a joy for creating chaos and enjoying himself, was kind of like hell. With a look of lament towards his boredom, Kairu looked around the room, looking for anything of interest to take his fixation and remove the terrible curse that was boredom. The usual crowd of Kakariko Inn were rather stale on the interest factor, which was obviously not helping with finding an attention-grabber. Then, Kairu's eye spotted someone who stood out from the robe wearing village dwellers. A tall, athletic looking Beorc had just walked in through the doorway his blonde hair forcing him to stand out even more. "Oooh, exciting! Maybe this guy needs something done? Or maybe he's got more than a dull, day-to-day existence like these other people?" Kairu thought as he stumbled over to the stranger, oddly excited and a little too forward. Nightmare Darklight

Oh yes, athletic. Athletic was a good word to describe him, as he certainly did a lot of athletic things. Seeing as he had stopped off at the capital to get some stuff Making he could pick p some provisions at a tavern in Kakariko and maybe get some rest there. Being much smaller than the capital, there would be less people there who could potentially recognize him as being from Skyloft. He wasn't sure if they were actively searching for him or if he would just bump into one of the people from Skyloft. If that happened, that would pretty quickly become awkward for them all. And possibly fatal.
And then he found himself being approached by a man, someone he could tell had probably seen a lot of action in his life. Well, unless all the bandages were meant to mean something else. Maybe he'd gotten them in a more humiliating fashion, or maybe it was something to try and look mysterious; apparently girls loved that? Still, the first thing Nightmare noticed was more how this man was just stumbling on over to him. Really, part of him was wondering just why in the world this guy decided to take an interest in him of all people. I mean sure, he wouldn't deny that he had an air about him and he was certainly believed he was attractive, but it didn't answer questions.
So for now, Nightmare just watched the man stumble on over with an amused grin on his lips. "Okay." He chuckled, taking note of him. So apparently, he seemed drunk, he had a sword, and bandages all over. Judging from the various little bits of armor he wore here and there, it was obvious that maybe he was a soldier or something. "So how shitfaced are you, exactly?" He asked, running a hand down his own face to try and get his expression into something more neutral.

Kairu finished his stumble over to the man, surprised by the mans accusation of being drunk. "Me, shitfaced?" Kairu chuckled, as he corrected his balance. "No, No. I'm just tired. Tired." The man he spoke too had been wearing a grin when Kairu first walked over, but he had forced his face into a more neutral state. From the way the man was going about his business, and presenting himself, it seemed he was trying not to draw attention to himself. As if he was unsure if it was safe to be hear, in Kakariko of all places. Kairu smirked, leaning against the wall. "What's a Beorc like you doing here in Kakariko? I don't know of any particular reason someone would choose to come here instead of Castle Town." Kairu looked around, and this man was, as it seemed, the only non-hylian in the Inn. "Plus, this place is as dull as a doorknob." Kairu began to lament again, his attention slipping back to his boring surroundings, before snapping back to the man. "Anyway, back to what I was saying. Why're you hear instead of the Capital?" Kairu was curious. So cracked a small, inviting smile, so as to will the man into answering his questions. Such is the way of those passionate about chaos. He wasn't drunk, he just happened to be tired. That was what he was going to be telling him. Okay then, not much else he could do about that then. Staring at the man with a deadpan expression, Nightmare only nodded slightly. "Right." He simply said. Though still, the first thing this guy was going to do was ask questions about why he was here. This piqued Nightmare's interest, what, was this town not big enough for the two of them? Was he going to have to do some stupid duel at high noon in the streets of Kakariko? Nightmare continued to stare at the man in what he figured was either his two eyes with a fake bandage, or his one genuinely good eye.
What was a Beorc like him doing here? Well, the simplest answer was that he wanted to avoid someone from Skyloft picking him out from a crowd. Kakariko was much smaller, much quieter, and probably much less crazy. Which could be nice, when one thought about it. "Oh yes, I don't quite know why I came here instead. I mean it couldn't be the clean floors, cold drinks, and the lack of drunkards trying to pick up prostitutes with cringe inducing euphenisms, denying their inebriations with grand excuses like 'fatigue.' I think I just happened to stumble here because I don't know north from south.." He remarked, fiddling with his gloved fingertips with disinterest.
Still, he found it kind of funny that he was the one that was being interrogated by this man who just happened to see him. "Meanwhile, I'm the odd one out when the guy asking me this has most of his face covered in bandages for some reason." Okay, so maybe Nightmare could be a bit of an ass, if that wasn't apparent earlier, that was probably readily apparent now. "Just a heads up, the whole 'mysterious face' angle loses its charm once you take it off for the girl. Or boy, I guess. Whichever way's your thing, big guy." He just shrugged.

OOC: I'm so bad at this it's not even funny Kairu got the response to his question, and in that, what seemed to be a colossal slab of sarcastic retort. "Heheh. The capital isn't that bad." He then thought about it, and as he saw it, singling this guy out for being a Beorc might seem a bit racist, or offensive. "And you can calm down with the sarcastic remarks. You just don't see many Beorc's out here." he calmed his face for a second, and chuckled as a display of good intention. Kairu didn't intend to start a fight without having a few more drinks first. "I was just curious." Kairu then got back into listening and heard the Beorc exclaim a remark at the fact that Kairu wore bandages across his face. Something about it being an angle to get people to sleep with him. He found this kind of funny, enough to make him crack a smile. "Angle?" Kairu smirked under his bandaged, hooded face. He laughed at the idea of wearing the bandages just as a way to intrigue those whom he had a sexual interest in. As funny as it was though, the idea of someone thinking they were just for play, or a simple don to pickup possible playthings was settling, it meant that it was less likely that people would have an excuse to see through his mask and deep into his scar coated face. Back out of his thoughts and into the present moment, Kairu glared at the man with an unusually long chuckle accompanying the glare. "I'll humor that idea for now."He then slipped his hands onto the table of the Inn's bar, and began to tap his fingers as if he was waiting for something. What was he waiting for? He didn't particularly know. As he sat their waiting with a chaotic grin to his face, he turned to the man. "Well, I'm done with questioning you. Feel free to sit down." The second the words spoken in the calmest way left his mouth, Kairu shot his glare across the room, meeting eyes with a rough, wide-eyed Goron with quite a large stature and a hungry fierceness to his wide eyes. "Damn it." Kairu's cheerful expression dropped. "Well, at least the boredom problem is sure to be solved now."

Well it looked like his tirade was enough to get him to back off or go on the defensive or something. Honestly he wasn't really sure what he was trying to do with this guy. He never really intended to like, drive him off or something. Mabe he was just feeling a bit irritable today, or maybe he was like that everyday. But hey! Patience was a virtue, with enough time around him he'd probably get less scathing and sassy over time. Also over time he'd probably stop making the lives of some people a living hell when they were around him. But it looked like for one Hylian named Kairu, that day would not be today.
And it would also not be today that it looked like that Kairu got out without a problem. As the Goron came in, he immediately noticed the guy glaring over at the Goron, remarking that things were no longer boring. It didn't take long for Nightmare to put two and two together. And his reaction was probably not what one would likely expect for this kind of situation. Namely, he burst out laughing at what he saw. "Ohhhh man are you screwed. Okay, maybe those bandages might be the real thing. You might need a few more later." Oh yes, he saw a beating in the very near future!
Sitting himself down, he swivelled around to watch what he felt would be quite the show. "Well big guy, let's hope that stumbling really was fatigue." He was still pretty sure that the Hylian was plastered right now, though he had to admit he didn't notice much in the way of slurring. But still, unless that guy could handle a Goron, things were about to get messy. He'd rather not get dragged in, but that didn't exactly mean he wouldn't just completely ignore entertainment when it was happening live.

OOC: It doesn't have to turn into a fight, as that'd probably deal us heart damage we don't want or need for just a meet-up and work together RP, but if you wanna swing that way go ahead Kairu shifted in his seat and tried not to draw attention to himself, as he looked over at Nightmare. "I'd keep quiet if I were you. He doesn't like loud people." Kairu chuckled under his breath as he got up to turn around. When he turned his head he was greeted by the grunting, huffing face of a rather angry looking Goron. "Dardan." Kairu nodded with a sly grin. The Goron slammed his fist through the table, and fiercly stared into Kairu's eyes, piercing through the anger induced tension between the two. "Where's my money?" The Goron roared, trying his best to be intimidating. "I want every Rupee. Now." The Goron's obvious anger was seething through his teeth almost. Kairu wasn't phased by the overwhelming amounts of tension and anger screeching out from his agressor. "Dardan, I already told you. It was business, I don't have your money." Kairu began to laugh, as the Goron began become even angrier, bordering on a fit of psychopathic rage. Kairu then saw another opportunity to cause the chaos he craved so much for. "He has it." Kairu said as he pointed his finger towards the man he'd been conversing with just moments before. Kairu wasn't exactly happy with himself, but he considered it fair trade for the insults and the laughing at Kairu's expense of danger. "Enjoy yourself." He whispered over to the Beorc, as his facial bandages slipped, revealing his hideously scared smile, showing just how gleeful he was for the chaos that was about to ensue. He then covered his face, deciding to keep up the happy farce over the temporary bout of sadness and being scared because his scars were revealed. He then politely nodded to the Beorc, adding to the situation, "Not many people see that. Consider yourself lucky." he said. Then, without warning, Dardan grabbed Nightmare by his collar. Kairu watched the situation in awe, curious as to how the Beorc would get out of this situation, and how he'd handle being the center of attention, as it was obvious that he was trying not to draw attention when he entered the Inn. Nightmare heeded the man's advice and simply remained quiet, just sitting back and seeing how he was going to go ahead and get through this mess. Instead, he just kept his grin for now, as he believed that this would be a good show. And sure enough, it was shaping up to be something that would be enjoyable, at least until he decided to try and turn it around on Nightmare and say that Nightmare was the one with the money. Okay, he'd admit, maybe he'd brought this on himself, but whatever, not that it mattered now. It probably wouldn't matter in the long run, I mean this Goron was obviously stupid, he wasn't that much of a threat.
Getting a good look at the man's scars, Nightmare raised an eyebrow at the whole thing, being framed and finding out that holy hell, this guy really did have a use for the bandages. But when he felt himself being grabbed by the Goron, his expression didn't really change either. Instead, he just laughed. "Okay, Rocky, let's step back for a moment and look at your situation." He raised a hand, patting the large arm of the Goron, clearly not all that threatened by the large golem that was probably threatening him to beat him to a pulp. But really, if he wanted to kill this statue, he was sure he could.
"You barge into a quiet bar to try and hassle some guy for money, who clearly does not have it." He pointed his thumb back at Kairu. They were probably gonna have a chat after this. But for the moment, "He then points you to, and you decide to target, the mysterious newcomer that no one has ever seen or even heard of until now, and who has done literally nothing to antagonize you beforehand. And he's also armed." He tapped Silversnake's sheath. In hindsight, he probably could've just gone "I'm from Skyloft" and called Gwaihir, but that would've made the whole secret thing a moot point. "Now ask yourself; how does this end? How does this always end?"

Dardan was confused. He was sure Kairu had the money, and then he was sure that Nightmare had the money. He sat their with a piercing glare drilling into the eyes of the unaffected man he held by his colarbone. Inside Dardan's tiny little brain, everything that was happening was rattling around inside, being absorbed into an appropriate reaction. Unfortunately for Dardan, he suffers from the inability to do so. So, absolutely perplexed by the situation, Dardan began to react in an erratic way, dropping Nightmare and stepping back. "Let me show you why I am called 'Iron-Head Dardan! I will teach you not to lie to me!" Dardan moved even further back, beginning to charge up what seemed to be the Goron equivalent to a Bull's Charge. "This'll be fun. Guess he won't be such a problem after all." Kairu mumbled to himself, his eyes flickering with disdain for the dull predictability of the imbecile that stood before him, prepared to charge. "I'd move if I were you." Kairu said, as Dardan began to thrust his head forward at full speed towards Nightmare. Nightmare seemed to be lucky today though, as Dardan, due to his absolute stupidity, completely missed Nightmare, crashing straight into the wall of the Inn, his head sticking out through to the other end. This was unbearable. Kairu began to laugh as hard as he could, he wasn't expecting Dardan to miss that badly. "Hahaha, you idiot!" Kairu began to mock him, dancing around behind the stuck idiot like a giddy school girl with candy. "You are an idiot! You are an idiot!" he cried out, laughing all the while. This obviously wasn't something Dardan was happy about. Dardan began to steam out of his nose, his face going red of both anger and embarrassment. "GRAGH! NO ONE MAKES A FOOL OUT OF ME!" Dardan shouted, tearing a hole in the wall as he swerved around, obviously very angry. Kairu hoped he could get out of this without having to fight an Angry Goron. Nightmare Darklight

Nightmare did nothing to move after he'd been dropped down. Why? When he saw the goron starting up his charge, as if he was going to gore him or something. He noted a slightly minor issue that might change things. "Trajectory's off." This was his immediate thought, the guy was going to miss. Which was kind of sad because really, it was point blank range. In fact, he was starting to wonder why he didn't just try to bash him when he had a good grip on him. So he just crossed his arms and waited for what he considered to be the inevitable, and good lord, would he not be disappointed.
Sure enough, the goron charged and Nightmare just turned to look at the newfound hole in the bar. Yeah he was not going to pay for that. It didn't help that the person he'd been dealing with earlier started taunting him by calling him an idiot. That was a bit weak, he figured. One could do so much better than that. Like so. "Iron-Head indeed..." He chuckled, lifting his arms in a shrug while shaking his head. But he was pretty sure he had a decent idea as to why this goron kept trying to squeeze some money out of this guy. Taking a few casual steps away from the man he'd just been arguing with, he spoke his mind.
Tapping his head with his index finger, he snorted. "So I'm guessing the reason you're hassling this guy is because the Barkeep, or someone, is hassling you for money you owe?" That seemed about right to him, anyway, before he motioned to the immense amount of property damage that the goron had managed to cause. "I mean that is some serious property damage, you know." He still wasn't paying for that. Dardan could add it to Kairu's bill, he didn't care.

OOC: sorry its so short... homework assignment takes priority for today, hope its okay. Kairu watched as Nightmare began to talk to the Goron who had just smashed his head through the wall of the Inn, and he seemed to be doing nothing now but playing on the Goron's situation and feelings. Kairu walked over to Dardan, knocking him out by hitting him hard with the blunt end of his sword, as it became rather obvious, to Kairu at least, that the Goron was going to cry. Kairu then leaned over the Bar to the Barkeep, and gave him a certain look. A look that said 'don't mind that.' "Now that it's all over, since I think he'll be stuck for hours, you mind giving us our drinks? My man Dardan over there will pay for them along with his payment for the bills for those damages there." Kairu chuckled, grabbing a drink and one for Nightmare. He gestured him back over and started to act as though that situation with the angry Goron never happened. Kairu thought that Nightmare would be able to figure out what just happened and why it did, so he didn't think it was worth talking about. He just lightly downed his bandages to scull his drink, and slammed it down on the table, waiting for the Beorc to sit back down. "You know, I don't think I grabbed your name." Kairu mentioned, unsure of whether he'd just forgotten or whether he'd never been told. Nightmare Darklight

Well that seemed to be over. This new guy just knocked the guy out without any ceremony whatsoever. Jeez, if he could've done that the entire time well why didn't he just do that in the first place? Nightmare, at least to him anyway, at least had the excuse in that he probably didn't want things to get too far out there. But this guy seemed to relish in that sort of thing. Far more than he seemed to let on as well. The fact that he could simply go back to how things were like nothing had happened told a lot to Nightmare. This man relished in this kind of activity, and was so desentisized to it he wasn't shaken up afterwards.
But no, he didn't sit back down. He had come here to avoid trouble, but whatever, not like he could do anything about it now. At least he didn't do anything that would keep the rumor mill buzzing. The joy of not panicking and going straight for your weapon in every single situation. But, he would be polite and give him his name. Well, not so much his name, more what he went by. "I go by Nightmare Darklight. I run a mercenary company." To be honest, the entire reason he came to Hyrule in the first place was to stock up on supplies but it looked like things were taking more different turns day by day.
But there was one other question he had to know. The fact that this Dardan had been pressuring him, he owed money to other people he was certain of that. But to hassle this man so intently, and focus so much on him, he was curious. "How much do you owe him, exactly?" He wouldn't even try to guess a figure, as Gorons normally didn't pressure people like that... intentionally anyway. But still, there was just something up if it caused this much trouble for this guy. Though from the way he had been acting, he was wondering if this man just brought it on himself or something.

Kairu drank his drink as Nightmare sat down and spoke to him. Nightmare told Kairu his name, and he chuckled. "Nightmare, suiting name for someone as tough and confident as you look. I'm Kairu, if I didn't already say." Kairu said, getting back to the conversation as certain words perked his ears. "Mercenary Company?" Kairu perkily responded to words. Kairu had heard all kinds of stories about some of the crazy things that end up happening in places like those. Kairu liked craziness. He buried his unbelievable excitement at just the thought of craziness and chaos, and turned one the fake interest in money in work. He listened in on the conversation or an opening to slide into the position necessary to get himself that job. Nightmare continued talking, and Kairu listened 'intently' as Nightmare asked how much money Kairu owed Dardan. "Want absolute honesty? Nothing." Kairu said with a devious chuckle, look seriously towards Nightmare. "I convinced him that I owed him One Million Rupees for a bit of fun, and he honestly believes it." Kairu began to laugh at the Goron's expense. "I kind of feel bad for the damages and such, but it's his fault. He's the idiot that believe such a stupid ruse. Fun to be around though, wonder what will happen next time." Kairu continued, still laughing his Chaotic ass off. Nightmare Darklight

"Mhmm. It's named Outer Heaven. Go ahead and give a hire if you ever need it." Word of mouth was always good, so the more people knew of Outer Heaven's existence, the more likely that people would end up hiring him. Which again, the guy needed money if he was going to make it. Still, that seemed to pique this guy's interest more than anything. Maybe he really did have a job that needed being done or something? Naturally, considering the way this guy was, he'd probably demand at least part of it up front. He wouldn't let himself be played the fool and he was definitely more dangerous than the Goron.
That said, Kairu's reason for causing so much trouble was something that caused Nightmare to raise an eyebrow. "I'd give you shit for it if I didn't occasionally do things like that either." Granted, he drew the line at people getting really hurt. Usually. That one time he'd actually been really drunk. Yeah, that hadn't gone too well. He'd more or less sworn off alcohol after that incident. He actually still felt really bad about it. But that was the past and there wasn't anything he could really do to change it. Still, he had a feeling one of Kairu's actions would probably bite him firmly in the ass someday.
To say Nightmare was tempted to make that day today was quite the understatement. Oh sure, he'd been unharmed, and he'd known for a fact that the Goron couldn't really have done anything to genuinely jeopardize Nightmare's life, but that was still a dick move, and he'd been sorely tempted to wail on him a bit and maybe give him a few more scars. He was certain he could do it too. But no, the last thing he really needed was to make a mountain out of a molehill. Plus he figured if he did, he might as well wait for the guy to get drunk first. "Somehow I get the feeling you don't really care that you're going to get yourself killed someday." He remarked simply.

'Outer Heaven', what an interesting name. Although Kairu had posed the question of what the name was, it seemed that Nightmare was using that as a business opportunity, as Nightmare added onto his answer with the mention of hiring from them should Kairu ever need it. Need it? Kairu didn't think so, but he chuckled at the idea of him asking someone else for help. Unless for any particular reason Kairu wouldn't be able to get whatever it is he desired in a particular situation without the help of someone else, Kairu wouldn't hire from mercs. It isn't his style. Being hired for work in that line on the other hand... "How many you got working for you?" Kairu asked, without any hesitation, he wanted to know more about this merchant company. But before he could continue asking about it, Nightmare said something about giving Kairu shit for doing the things he just did. "Give me shit for it?" He said, "If you gave me shit for this you'd have to give me even more almost every other day. Today was an easy day, so far at least." Kairu said with a sickeningly overjoyed tone to his voice as he followed along with the conversation between the two men. Nightmare made a remark, stating that he had the feeling that Kairu didn't care that he'd probably get himself killed someday. "No, not really. Why should I? Life's crazy as it is, I can't imagine what death is like, sounds fun really." Kairu said this like it was completely normal conversation, and made total sense, which it didn't, going silent for a moment afterwards and looking at his now emptied drinking glass. Kairu began to chuckle again, as he gave a glare to the bartender. "I think, considering I knocked out the bastard who demolished your wall over there, that the rest of my drinks for today should be free." He said with a threatening, yet slow and calm tone. "Don't you?" When Kairu was done talking the bartender began to frantically dart his eyes around with a fear welling up in the deeper parts of his darting eyes. Just as the bartender was about to respond, Kairu began to laugh like a giddy child. "I'm kidding of course, unless, you think that's a fair trade?" Kairu asked, raising an eyebrow at the bartender. He expected the bartender to say that it wasn't worth that much, and laugh along with Kairu. But, to Kairu's surprise, the sweating and scared-looking bartender replied with a nod and handed the two men another drink each. "O-On the house..." Kairu smiled and began to drink the refreshing glass of free beer. Nightmare Darklight

So wait, this was basically an every day occurance for this guy? He wasn't really sure whether he was daring or stupid. Nightmare actually felt more incline to go with the latter, mostly because of the bandages and scars and such. When it was clear that all it did was just get you severely injured, it was probably a good idea to stop doing it. "Oh, you do this for a living. Okay, that... explains a lot, actually." He remarked, waving his hand all over his own face, telling the man that it really explained the bandages. At least he'd managed to keep from getting scratched up like that.
That said, the more this man talked, the more he was piecing things together. This man did what he did simply because he found life to be crazy and chaotic and he wished to revel in that chaos. At least that was what he was getting. "I ran into someone like you. Obsessed with blood. And crows. He got along real well with crows." He remarked offhandedly, pushing the beer towards Kairu. He was content to stay sober and just let the man talk. "It sounds like you have a serious adrenaline problem." With the occasional interjection here and there.
Looking at the bartender, he shrugged slightly. If nothing else, he'd take care of Kairu if things started to get ugly. Which it might. He was more than content to just let this guy drink and get shitfaced. "Anyway, right now it's just me. Fledgling company. I guess you could say I'm Big Boss, or whatever." He dismissed him. Yeah it might have just been him, but he could easily tackle most jobs.
