Mordra sat under the shade of what was quite probably the only tree in the entire desert. She came often to the Temple of the Sand Goddess for peace and quiet, She always felt a special connection to this place, the Iron Knuckles who guarded this place imparted a calming presence to the entire area. Mordra herself was working on deciphering one of her spell books some more. She was amazed at how complex the language of the Blins was. Each of her tomes was written in the primal, guttural tongue and yet, what Mordra had translated so far was far more beautiful than most people gave them credit for. Soon the sun began to set and Mordra was forced to close her book. The desert became dangerous at night. As late as she stayed here, she would be pushing it anyway. If she were to be slain by common monster because she left too late for the fortress she wouldn't forgive herself. LAIKA OF GS!

my soul was filled with crystal light. Amala was bored. When she was bored, she wandered. When she wandered, she wandered with a purpose, and today her purpose was to find someone to annoy the hell out of. When she wanted someone to annoy, she generally decided to annoy the Archwitch, who was the most fun to annoy. She was magicky and pale and solitary and Amala was forever determined to bring her out into the sunlight, get some damn color in her skin, do more than just sit inside and read, read, read all day long.
Unfortunately, Mordra was good at hiding, even if she didn't mean to. That, or Amala was just really bad at finding her. Either way she had wasted most of the day hunting for her, tearing through the Fortress like a bat out of hell searching for her and then wandering around the desert beyond with Garrus prowling by her side. She had no idea where the damn witch could be, until she did have an idea, and then she was launching herself onto her wyvern's back and steering him towards the Spirit Temple, which has the literal only tree in the entire goddamned desert. Amala didn't know why it hadn't occurred to her sooner. Maybe she had spent too much time around greenery; she was getting used to it. At this point, though, it was getting late, and though Mordra was the most powerful magic-user amongst the Gerudo, it would probably be best if she wasn't walking through the desert by herself at night. Amala would escort her or give her a lift or something. She was worried for her safety as much as she wanted to annoy her, now.
Amala tumbled off Garrus' back when they reached the temple, doing a combat roll onto the sand, saluted to the Iron Knuckles when she scrambled to her feet, and marched inside. "Mooooooordraaaaaa," she called as she entered, her voice bouncing off the stone walls and echoing into the depths of the temple. "It's meeeee, Amalaaaaaaaaa!" | TAGGED: Mordra Dragmire

my heart is cold, you can't leave That noise. Mordra heard the unmistakable flapping of wyvern wings. Only one person in the entire desert had a wyvern. By the Goddess herself, maybe Mordra wouldn't have to walk all by herself. "Amala!" The Archwitch cried out. "Amala, I'm right here." Apparently the sound of wings was too loud for The Champion to hear anything. So Mordra took to walking faster towards where Amala had just landed her wyvern.
"Amala Ashaliya!" Mordra tried calling, once again in vain as the Gerudo woman marched straight into the Spirit Temple. "Fool woman." The Archwitch made her way to where Garrus was resting. Patting him on his snout Mordra thought about what to do next. "I could wait for her to come out, but knowing her that could take all night once she gets distracted by a stalchild in there. I suppose the easiest way to get home would be to just fly with you and leave her behind." A tempting option for sure. Mordra was certain Garrus wouldn't mind leaving Amala behind, but then there was explaining to Vandal why his champion wasn't with her wyvern. And she couldn't very well leave her only friend in there.
In the end Mordra's conscience won out. "Wait here Garrus, I'll go get her." Mordra left most of her tomes in one of the wyvern's saddlebags, taking only Flame with her. "Aaaaaamaaaaalaaaaa!" She copied the champions call from earlier. "I'm outside!" Or rather, she was outside, until she went in after the other woman.

my soul was filled with crystal light. Amala was a woman on a mission and women on missions were not to be distracted by anything. So maybe she kind of didn't hear Mordra yelling at her. Big deal. She did hear her eventually, the witch's voice echoing through the temple, and Amala turned on her heel and marched right back the way she came, stopping with her hands on her hips when she reached Mordra. "Liar," she accused playfully, "you're not outside." She grabbed the Archwitch by the hand and went to pull her out into the quickly setting sunlight, moving at a pace just this shy of jogging.
"What are you doing all the way out here by yourself, anyway? It's dangerous in there. Even I wouldn't go it alone." Conveniently ignoring the fact that she had, in fact, just walked in there alone. "I'd be heartbroken if you died. Distraught. Completely ruined. I'd have to ruthlessly slaughter whatever killed you and then throw myself upon my spear to put an end to my agony, and then where would Garrus be? You can't leave him all by himself." Also conveniently ignoring the fact that he'd probably been just fine before she wrestled him into her life. | TAGGED: Mordra Dragmire

my heart is cold, you can't leave "Well I was outside. And then I had to chase after you." She teased back, playfully poking the other woman's shoulder. Amala was the one person Mordra knew who could get past the witch's superior mentality and have fun with.
"If you must know I was studying. My tomes are still not fully translated and I wanted to make some headway in them." She explained. "I had planned on leaving earlier than this so I am grateful that you came looking for me. Though you do realize that you came in here alone yourself." Mordra pointed out.
"It means so much to me that you would avenge my death and then kill yourself out of grief, but what would our king do without his trusted Champion?" Mordra inquired. Despite being the Archwitch, Mordra had not dealt with the Gerudo Pharaoh yet. "And I'm sure Garrus could take care of himself if anything were to happen." @amala MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS
