While canon characters don't exist on Eternity's End (except in the form of an occasional NPC when a staff member has to do something), the real plot stuff lies in the Canon Roles. The Canon Roles are simply roles that can be grabbed by most anyone and bam, something's planned for them. Very simple, just apply for the role by way of putting up a bio. Once it's accepted, just post here saying which role you are taking. Very easy.
Some do have starting bonuses but some do have restrictions. So watch for that.
This likely won't be the final list because as things arise, more canon roles may appear, so check back often.
Note: You are only able to play one Major/Minor Bloodline role. This includes relatives to roles with Bloodlines as well.
Update: When picking a second role, try to avoid one that would conflict with your other characters. Someone taking say, the Exalt of Ylisse AND the Ruler of Plegia would face major problems if the two nations went to war.
Update 2: In very, very special cases, a character can wind up in 2 roles. For example, if a Khan hired one of the Mercenary Leaders to be a Champion for Ferox, they would end up in a dual role. In fact, if the Ruler wishes, they can technically hire any already existing character to the role, but this must be done in a thread. The inverse also applies however, in that you can get fired. If you get fired, you do get to keep the bonuses from the role. However, if you leave of your own volition and it's clear you jumped into the position briefly in order to get the bonus, you'll lose it.
SAGES
Sage of Time : Open
The Sage of Time, commanding and devoting themselves to the passage of Time.
Starting Bonus : Start with a blessing of any element.
Requirements : None
Notes : Due to the heavy association with Time, their Primary Element will be Time. However, because of their unique position, they can grab blessings from any of the other basic (Earth/Fire/Wind/Water/Light/Shadow/Aether) elements.
Sage of Forest : Open
The Sage of Forest, commanding and devoting themselves to the Forest.

The Headmaster of the Knights of Skyloft. They are the closest thing one could consider a "leader" for Skyloft. They are the Headmaster for a reason.

Requirements : Must be at least 70. Can be any race save Twili.
Notes : An old FC actually is required unless Laguz. They also know not only of Majora's existence, but where it is located.

One of the four instructors at the academy.

Requirements : Must be at least 40. Can be any race save Twili.
Notes : Most of their time would be spent in the academy and Skyloft in general. They also know of Majora's existence, but not where it is located.

The owner of the Lumpy Pumpkin. The Lumpy Pumpkin is the finest inn in Skyloft, and arguably one of the finest inns in the world, known for their delicious pumpkin soup, and their extravagant chandelier.
Starting Bonus : Half off on all Pumpkin soup.
Requirements : None.
Notes : Get some insurance on the chandelier.
Lumpy Pumpkin Server : Open
The waiter/waitress of the Lumpy Pumpkin.

Flying Shop Owner : Open
The owner of the pedal-powered flying shop.
Starting Bonus : Really, who else gets a flying building?

The Reincarnation : Open
Unbeknownst to the world, Hylia has indeed reincarnated herself.
Starting Bonus : Major Hylia blood.
Requirements : None.
Notes : Despite being her reincarnation, they won't know they are. Not for a long, long while anyway. Relations do not get Minor Hylia blood.
HYRULE COURT
Monarch of Hyrule : Open
The current Ruler of Hyrule, the leading power. The leader of Hyrule is seen as the paragon of Hylian culture, and is meant to act as a role model, and is touted for being as pure blooded as they come.
Starting Bonus : Start with a Level 0 Hero's Bow. Also has Major Hylia blood.
Requirements : Must be Hylian.
Notes : The Royal Family is not exclusive to the Ruler. Contact the Ruler and admin (Night) if you wish to be related. Related members will have Minor Hylia blood.
Royal Guard : Open
The Sheikah have always played a vital role within the Royal Family. They are most often a bodyguard, meant to protect either the ruler themselves, or the heir, or sometimes both.
Starting Bonus : Start with two racial points instead of one.
Requirements : Must be Sheikah.
Notes : Like the Ruler, it's inadvisable to reveal your identity in Gerudo territory.
Knight Commander : Open
The head of the entire Hylian military chain, and the one calling most of the shots during an actual war. The Knight Commander is far better equipped than most people, and is perfectly capable of defending themselves. However, they are expected to take charge when a war breaks out.
Starting Bonus : Start with a Level 1 weapon.
Requirements : Must be Hylian.
Notes : They're mostly free to do whatever, but during a war their activity in exploring and dungeon crawling would likely plummet.
Paladin Vanguard : Open
The head of Hyrule's Paladin Order. The Vanguard is the leader, the one that rose through the ranks through absolute piety and setting an example for all future Paladins to follow, acting as the holy hand of the goddesses.
Starting Bonus : Start with a light based blessing and a Level 1 weapon.
Requirements : Must be Hylian and strictly Lawful Good.
Notes : The Vanguard would likely be extremely religious.
YLISSEAN COURT
Exalt of Ylisse : Rune Darius
The Ruler of Ylisse, suceeding the throne from the previous Exalt who happened to be an incredibly cruel tyrant that nearly united the world before being crushed by Skyloft. As proof of the pact between them and Naga, they have the Brand of Naga somewhere on their body.
Starting Bonus : Start with a Level 0 Falchion and a Level 0 Fire Emblem. Also has Major Naga blood.
Requirements : Must be Beorc.
Notes : They are likely involved with the Shepherds, though this is not required. Relations can also exist, but permission is required from both the Exalt and the admin (Night) beforehand. All bloodline relations will have Minor Naga blood.
Shepherd Commander : Open
While also a Steward to the Ylissean Royal Family, the Shepherd Commander controls the elite forces of Ylisse; the Shepherds and is recognized as their leader.
Starting Bonus : Start with a Level 1 weapon.
Requirements : Must be from Ylisse.
Notes : They're automatically considered a member of the Shepherds.
Pegasus Captain : Ariadne Fanel
The leader of the Pegasus Knights. Ever since the disastrous invasion of Skyloft, their reputation has taken a hit, and they are slowly rebuilding their ranks. They are however, not defenseless in the least.
Starting Bonus : Free Pegasus mount.
Requirements : Must be from Ylisse and female.
Notes : None.
Grandmaster : Flynn Callifrey
The Grandmaster serves as Ylisse's Tactician, and is known to have an astoundingly talented mind for tactics, rumors swirl that they might be a foreigner, though whether that's true or not is known only to the Royal Family and the Grandmaster.
Starting Bonus : Start with the Military Tactics Passive Skill.
Requirements : None.
Notes : Whether they have Amnesia or not is up to you.
PLEGIAN COURT
Ruler of Plegia : Open
The Leader of Plegia, governing the people. Still dealing with the political aftermath that was the Exalt's failed conquest, they must handle a people who thirst for Ylissean blood. Unfortunately, just a puppet figure to the real leader of Plegia behind the shadows; the Head of the Grimleal.
Starting Bonus : Start with two racial points instead of one.
Requirements : Must be Beorc.
Notes : Just because they're a puppet leader at the moment doesn't mean they're stuck as that. If you feel you can pull it off, go ahead and fight it.
Grimleal Head : Open
The head of the Grimlea cult and the real leader of Plegia, this particular character leads the secret effort to resurrect the Fell Dragon Grima, and has managed to, through generations of Breeding, give rise to the perfect Avatar. They are the one who really calls the shots in Plegia.
Starting Bonus : Minor Grima blood.
Requirements : Must be Plegian and Beorc.
Notes : As a parent of the Avatar, they have Minor Grima blood. Their spouse would have Minor Grima blood as well.
The Avatar : Open
After about 20 or so generations of dedicated selective breeding, the Avatar was born. The Avatar holds the Heart of Grima within, and is the perfect vessel for when their god Grima is reborn.
Starting Bonus : A Level 0 Grima's Truth. Also has Major Grima blood.
Requirements : Must be Plegian and at least partially Beorc.

FEROXI COURT
West Khan : Open
One of the two Khans of Regna Ferox. In a nation that values strength over all else, they gotta be tough, and the Khans are as tough as they come. That said, they can only rule when they win the yearly tournament.
Starting Bonus : Start with two racial points instead of 1, and a Level 1 weapon.
Requirements : None.
Notes : Remember, you can't actually make decisions for Regna Ferox unless you're Ruling Khan. Good luck in that tournament!
Champion of West Ferox : Open
The current champion of the West Khan. Usually selected because they're tough, and cannot be a member of the Khan's family to prevent a blood feud. Be careful though, if someone proven stronger comes along, they can take your job. This holder of this position CAN change according to the whims of the Khan.
Starting Bonus : Start with 4 hearts and 4 MP instead of 3.
Requirements : None.
Notes : Don't worry, if you get "fired", you can keep the heart and MP.
East Khan : Open

GERUDO COURT
Gerudo Pharaoh : Asim Garai
The Pharaoh of the Gerudo. Males are considered exceptionally rare in Gerudo society. Because of this, male Gerudo are often elevated, placed on pedestals, and in this case, the male has ascended to the throne, and is king, for all intents and purposes.
Starting Bonus : Start with a Level 0 Trident. Also has Major Demise blood.
Requirements : Must be Gerudo and male.
Notes : While they can go exploring and the like as they please, caution is advised in Hylian controlled territories. Relations can also exist, but permission is required from both the Pharaoh and the admin (Night) beforehand. All bloodline relations will have Minor Demise blood.
Gerudo Champion : Open
While the Gerudo King is usually far more trained in the art of warfare than the Hylian Monarch, that doesn't mean the King can field everything the Gerudo has on his own. To this end, he has a chosen champion to help him with his wars.

Requirements : Must be Gerudo.
Notes : They're mostly free to do whatever, but during a war their activity in exploring and dungeon crawling would likely plummet.
Archwitch : Mordra Dragmire
The Gerudo are very magical in their own way. While it does not run in their blood like it does with the Hylians, they tend to immerse themselves deep in the craft, mostly as a way to even the field against the Hylians and their magic, but they still nonetheless. Among these magic users though, is the Archwitch. While she does not actively lead a formal order, she has gained the title simply through being the strongest magic user the Gerudo have.
Starting Bonus : Start with 3 blessings and 5 MP.
Requirements : Must be Gerudo.

GORONS
Goron Patriarch : Open
The leader of the Gorons. Believe it or not, the Gorons are actually an extremely peaceful race, so they don't normally do much for warfare. There are times when they feel pressed and retaliate, but other than that, they mostly mind their own business. The Patriarch, while holding final authority, for the most part will at least get the opinion of his elders.

One of the four Goron Elders.

While not the actual owner of the hot springs, as there is no actual owner, this Goron here is the one that manages them, keeps them clean, the works. If you want to relax in the springs, he's the one you want to talk to about it.

Requirements : Must be Goron.

ZORAS
Zora Ruler : Open
The ruler of the Zora throne. They control the Domain and is more or less the unofficial ruler of the Sea. The Zora leader really just tends to diplomatic and civic issues, as warfare really isn't an issue for them. The only problems they have are pirates, and even then the Zora tend to use guerrilla tactics against them.

Requirements : Must be Zora and at least in their 40s at the youngest.

Band Manager : Open
The Manager of the ridiculously popular band; the Indigo-Gos.

The Vocalist of the ridiculously popular band; the Indigo-Gos.

LAGUZ
Royal Beast : Open
The ruler of the Laguz state of Gallia. As the ruler of Gallia, the Royal Beast has authority over all cats, tigers, and lions.

Requirements : Must be a Lion Laguz.
Notes : None.
Shadow of the Beast : Open
The Royal Beast is usually quite busy, so it's not uncommon for their elected bodyguard/decoy, often called their "Shadow" to act in their stead. They are usually very close with their ruler, as they are required to act in their stead when the Ruler cannot for any reason.

Royal Wolf : Falcar Lorrastamere
The ruler of the Laguz state of Hatari. As the ruler of Hatari, the Royal Wolf has authority over all wolves.
Starting Bonus : Start with two racial points instead of one, and 4 HP and 4 MP instead of 3.
Requirements : Must be a Wolf Laguz.
Notes : None.
Retainer of the Wolf : Open
Even the Royal Laguz, being very powerful beings, need protection, and for the Wolf, that is where the Retainer comes in. The Retainer acts not only as protection, but as an aide in general, fulfilling whatever the Royal needs.

Royal Hawk : Open
The ruler of the Laguz state of Phoenicis. As the ruler of Phoenicis, the Royal Hawk has authority over all hawks.

Eyes of the Hawk : Open
One of the two top scouts for the Hawk Leader. The Eyes of the Hawk is noted for their exceptional eyesight, able to spot anything from miles away.

Ears of the Hawk : Open
One of the two top scouts for the Hawk Leader. The Ears of the Hawk is noted for their exceptional hearing, able to pick out sounds from miles away.

Royal Raven : Ezriel Falcha
The ruler of the Laguz state of Kilvas. As the ruler of Kilvas, the Royal Raven has authority over all ravens.

Requirements : Must be a Raven Laguz.
Notes : None.
Chamberlain of the Raven : Open
Having watched over the Royal Raven for years, the Chamberlain is the Royal Raven's closest friend and confidant, and is one of their most loyal supporters.

Royal Heron : Open
The ruler of the Laguz state of Serenes. Well, at least formerly Serenes. Once the Serenes fire destroyed the forest, there are only a handful of Heron left in the world.

Requirements : Must be a Heron Laguz.

Royal Taguel : Open
The Leader of the band of Taguel. Ironically, despite being bunnies, they usually refer to themselves as Taguel. The Royal however, has dealt with poaching for quite a while

MANAKETES
Royal Manakete : Open
The ruler of the small state of Goldoa. Despite being the leader, they are not the absolute authority, and may very well unofficially share authority with the Voice of Naga.

Requirements : Must be a Manakete.
Notes : They know of Majora's existence, but not where it is located.
Voice of Naga : Open
The Voice of Naga is more a religious figure than anything, and is sometimes thought to be a direct child of Naga. The Voice is known for their uncanny ability to hear messages from Naga, and as such is greatly admired and respected amongst all Manaketes.

Requirements : Must be a Divine Manakete.

MISCELLANEOUS
Wandering Vagrant : Ciel Viola
A wandering nobody that travels from location to location.
Starting Bonus : Start with a level 0 Goddess Sword and Major Zayd blood.
Requirements : Must be Hylian.
Notes : Relations can exist, but permission must be obtained from the Wandering Vagrant and admin (Night), they will have Minor Zayd blood.
Wandering Vagrant : Seri Meruonna
A wandering nobody that travels from location to location.
Starting Bonus : Start with a level 0 Sol Katti and Major Yune blood.
Requirements : Must be Beorc, Laguz, or Branded (Laguz Hybrid).
Notes : Relations can exist, but permission must be obtained from the Wandering Vagrant and admin (Night), they will have Minor Yune blood.
Mercenary Leader : Sven
The Leader of a squad of renowned mercenaries, known for their professionalism and skill. This leader in particular has a special weapon, and a special ability within.
Starting Bonus : Start with a level 0 Ragnell and Major Ashera blood.
Requirements : Must be a common race.
Notes : This is technically the "Ike"/Greil Mercenary leader role, but the name of the band is up to you. Also, relations can exist, but permission must be obtained from the Mercenary Leader and admin (Night), they will have Minor Ashera blood.
Mercenary Leader : Open
The Leader of another squad of renowned mercenaries. This group in particular is more of a Robin Hood and his band of Merry Men sort of deal; targeting specifically only villains and ruffians and people who are thought to be corrupt. If they're paid of course.

Notes : This is technically the "Black Fang" leader role. As with the Mercenary Leader above, you don't have to use the name, and you don't have to stay Robin Hood and his Merry Men either.
Pirate Leader : Open
The Leader of the Pirates, sailing the seas and causing untold amounts of trouble. While they do have ties to things like racketeering, piracy is their forte.

Requirements : Can be any race save Goron.
Notes : Before you ask, the Black Pearl's a Galleon. Tetra's ship is a Cog.
Bandit Leader : Rosalinda Montgomery
While there are many bandit groups, this particular leader is known for their brutality and lack of mercy. They are ruthless and dangerous. While they have ties to other things like slave trade, banditry is their forte.

The Mayor of Ordon Village.

The Owner of the Lon Lon Ranch, known as the best place to get quality animals, even if they can be a bit pricy.

The next in line to inherit the Ranch.

The Owner of the Potion Shop. They make the potions for the most part. They have taken on an apprentice. Their store provides all the medicine for Skyloft.

The Apprentice : Talaria Halestorm
The Apprentice of the Wizard/Witch. They make all the deliveries to Skyloft, and as such, is the only surfacer allowed to freely come and go to Skyloft.

The Armorer : Open
A talented Armorer that makes top quality equipment.

An endearing, yet secretive Merchant that can make any sale. Usually has rare items on hand.

The Insect Prince/Princess : Open
A person strangely obsessed with golden bugs. Claims rulership over the Insect Kingdom.

Twilight Ruler : Open
While they have no authority whatsoever in the Realm of Light, the Twili do in fact have a leader, and they do in fact, have a government. This is the ruler of the throne of Twilight. Why they have come to the Light Realm, well that's their business.
Starting Bonus : Minor Majora blood and a Level 0 Fused Shadow.
Requirements : Must be Twili.
Notes : Be careful with who you meet. Also relations can exist, but permission must be obtained from the Twilight Heir and admin (Night), they will have Minor Majora blood.
Heir of Ikana : Nightmare Darklight
The last heir of Ikana, the ancient Kingdom of the Damned. Though the line was broken during the war that resulted in the curse that destroyed both Ikana and the Garo, the queen and her children managed to escape the conflict long before the curse was unleashed. Generations have passed, with only one pure-blooded heir remaining.
Starting Bonus : Minor Majora blood.
Requirements : Must be Beorc, Hylian, Sheikah, or a Hybrid of those three. They are also restricted to the Shadow element, due to their curse.
Notes : It'd... be a really, really bad idea to publicly reveal the "du Ikana" part of the name.
Heir of the Garo : Miki Nonam
The one living member of the Garo, the kingdom that warred with the vestigal empire of Ikana centuries ago. The Garo have a very long memory, and while the ruling family has long slipped into obscurity, that does not mean it has slipped into oblivion. One last member, only slightly affected by the curse, still lives.

Requirements : Must be Beorc, Hylian, Sheikah, or a Hybrid of those three. They are also restricted to the Shadow element, due to their curse.
