Naomi did not enjoy this. Naomi really did not enjoy this. This was one of those errands where if she could get away with it, she'd just send Tala to do it rather than come herself. However, this would be the first time sending Tala to do this and they could not afford to mess it up. Seriously, they couldn't afford it. This was the one sure-fire way they could get the milk necessary for White Potions. So she begrudgingly dragged herself out to this neck of the woods, so to speak, and was not too happy about it. In the future she'd just send Tala to do it. When she was much younger she'd been out here...once, with the old man, to get a sample of the milk for his own reproduction ritual to keep creating. Naturally of course she couldn't replicate it since he didn't write it down, so for now she had to do the legwork for it.
"Tala, pay attention this time. This is going to be part of your job after today." she ordered, her sour mood pretty obvious as she approached the entrance to the ranch. The grand sign reading "Lon Lon Ranch" made it pretty hard to miss. The two had traveled by foot, or at least Naomi had insisted on such. She could not bear to fly on that broom, let alone with Tala at the metaphorical helm. The learning curve was a long one, it seemed.
"Hellooooooo? Anyone here?" Naomi shouted, hoping to get the attention of someone competent. The sooner they could get this done the better, because this whole 'restocking' business has been a pain in the ass. The old man had it easy with his little ritual, so he didn't have to do anything beyond say a few words in a magic circle to put out more potions. Even after death, he's making her life hell. Thanks a lot old man. Tags: Talaria Halestorm, @mjrn3

| | she expected the world but it flew away from her reach so she ran away in her sleepVisitors were not an uncommon sight at Lon Lon Ranch. Ashe was still unused to interacting with the visitors herself, but her father was giving her more responsibility over the running of the ranch. She certainly was not complaining by any means, though! It made her feel quite happy to be able to help her father in whatever way she could. Of course, she would be even more happy if he would stop taking naps in the middle of the day. How many more times did she have to lecture him about it before her words sunk in? A small sigh escaped her before she shook her head to herself. Ashe doubted her father would ever truly heed her words until he fell asleep in the worst place possible. At least right now he was safely tucked away in the house.
Today she was going to complete one of her least favorite chores. Milking the cows was not a bad thing, but she much preferred to exercise the horses or even feed the cuccos. She had little idea of where their ranch hand had gotten to, so it looked like she would be doing this by herself. Ashe closed the door to her home behind her with a few buckets tucked along the crook of her arm. Her gaze lifted when she heard someone call out in greeting, though. The day was still a little early, but she smiled lightly in response before walking towards the two women. Were they looking to purchase a horse or something else?
“Good morning. Would I be able to help you with anything?” The company would be rather welcome, and it did distract her from her current task at least. Unless they wanted to buy some milk? It would give her a good reason to milk the cows at least.

I GOT THIS FEELING ON A SUMMERS DAY ► Tala wasn't really sure what the huge deal was, but she could tell that Miss Naomi was a little irritated. Well, to be honest she was often irritated with Tala but it seemed she was more irritated in general this time. Tala was assuming they'd just hop in and grab some milk or something. Even if they had to milk a cow or two it couldn't be that big of a deal. Cows typically were lazy and didn't give a care in the world as to what anyone was doing, as long as they had food and a place to chill they were fine. Still, Tala kept her mouth shut and let her master over dramatize whatever she expected this to be. Even after she shouted for someone on the farm, which was quite cozy to Tala by the way, and she didn't think she shouted quite loud enough Tala was quite, at least for now. She knew the second that her teacher made a mistake or did something silly Tala would of course point it out. And she was sure to be asking a lot of obnoxious questions along the way. Of course, after this she'd be doing it herself which was quite nice. #Lazy #short #late
