► Kitty Asdorn is missing! ◄
|
» This was just terrible! Not a week has gone by since Levi got his cat and already Asdorn was missing. How could this have happened? Levi thought back on the actions of the day. He had woken up and fed Asdorn, petting the kitten while he ate. Then he washed up and headed to classes.
It was only now that he had returned to his dorm, and the cat was missing! Levi must have left the door slightly ajar or perhaps the window was open. Whatever the reason Asdorn was now missing in the Academy halls!
Levi raced to the dining hall, hoping that the smell of food from the kitchens would have drawn the feline towards them. He made his way through the throng of squires who had also finished up classes for the day. A thought occurred to him. Perhaps one of them had seen his cat. "Excuse me, have you seen a small cat around here?" He asked a nearby student who just shook his head.
Levi would not give up. He soon spotted someone he dreaded asking for help but she was the only other squire in the dining hall who didn't seem to be eating, perhaps she was done with her food or maybe she planned on getting a meal at her business. With quite a few second thoughts the squire sat himself at her table. "Aspen." He started more than a little reluctantly. "I need your help with something."

broken dreams and hardened hearts The dining hall was really one of the more vile places to be, but it did allow Aspen the opportunity to be left alone. In Skyloft, she had a reputation for being the poor little orphan girl, but here at the Academy, generally no one initiated any sort of conversation. Just as she liked it. Of course, that privacy of thought was the only perk to this place. It was loud and crowded, and didn’t really allow her to do anything that she really enjoyed, like sleeping or training. All she could really do was think, but that was enough for now, she supposed. She began to study the faces of the students who walked into the hall, creating their story in her head. The boy who walked in with really rosy cheeks? The story that she created was that he’d been flying on his loftwing to work out stress from exams. The girl with the frizzy hair and dark eyes had been up late last night, but from the lack of books in her hand, Aspen guessed that she hadn’t been studying. The next face… Oh Hylia. Walking into the dining hall now was Levi. He wasn’t her least favorite classmate, that spot was forever reserved for a certain blonde magic lover, but she wasn’t a huge fan of Levi. He wasn’t infuriating on Gwen’s level, but he just gave off the weak vibe. She didn’t really see much use for him, and he was one of the few students who’d actually talk to her, on occasion. Yeah, not a Levi fan. He was wandering around, aimlessly to an outside observer, before the two locked eyes and he made a beeline for her table, empty save herself. She groaned. “No,” was her instant reply when he requested her help. He’d obviously gotten into something stupid that wasn’t worth her time. “I’ve got other things to do, namely, not sitting here listening to whatever trouble you’ve gotten into now. Goodbye,” she said, and stood to leave. Tagged: Levi StoneNotes: commence looking for kitty Asdorn~ "you seriously named your cat after my dead father, you jackass" Word Count: 336

► This plan might backfire on him◄

» The reaction Levi received was what he had expected. "As pleasant as always aren't you Aspen." Levi stated dryly. "And you obviously don't have anything else to do otherwise you would be doing them, or at least not doing them as far away from the Academy as possible." He observed. It wasn't that Levi knew Aspen well it was just everyone knew how Aspen did things that involved school or work on her part. Or rather didn't do things that involved school or work.
"So since whatever you have to do can't be that important you could help me with my problem." Hopefully if Levi's logic didn't work on the blood haired girl than he could infuriate her into helping him. "You know Gwen or Rath would be willing to help me." He added hoping to spark something.

frozen heart and broken bones
| Aspen rolled her eyes, Levi was still talking. Ugh. “Gwen is an insufferable little bitch, and Rath would do literally anything that a squire asked him to. The fact that either of them would help you out means absolutely nothing to me,” she said. She knew that he wouldn’t go away though, not now. If Levi was asking her for help, that meant that he really had no one else to ask. Good for him, bad for her.
“It’s not the state of action that I’m talking about, it’s the state of inaction. Specifically, the things I have to do include not slaving over books and papers, not listening to drunks at work, and not having to look at your ignorant face. So please, for my sake, cut to the chase and tell what you need from me so I can get this over with and continue on that path of Levi-free bliss,” she spit at him. Might as well start now. What a day, and it wasn’t even noon. |

» "And seeing as neither Gwen nor Rath seem to be around much anymore you are the only person I can think of to ask. Believe me, I would much rather go to one of them rather than you." Levi quietly stated. The only reason Levi had for turning Aspen for help was because she was the ONLY person who wasn't busy. This just meant as bad as it was for her to help it would be worse for him. But he needed to find little Asdorn.
"I just need you to help me find something I've lost." He stammered. "If you could climb off of your high horse just long enough to help someone like any decent person then I would be grateful."
Gritting his teeth he made his request. "I've lost my kitten and I need help finding him." Levi steeled himself for the verbal barrage he expected to come from the red-haired vixen's mouth

frozen heart and broken bones Levi Stone the harpy is smiling holy shit #abort #abort #nope 176
| He lost, what? Aspen stared at Levi, dumbfounded, before the humor of the request reached her. She cracked a smile through her perpetual glare reserved just for Levi, and burst into cold, yet bubbling laughter.
Sardonic, she said, “And here we have Skyloft’s finest, Levi Stone, who has been bested by a cat. No, I’m sorry, a mere kitten! Oh, I quake in fear at your impending prowess, you strike fear into my heart!”
She hadn’t laughed like this in the longest time, but it was just so funny. Professors did nothing but sing Levi’s praise whilst threatening Aspen with expulsion, day after day, but now, oh how the tables had turned. Teacher’s pet had lost his pet.
Still giggling, Aspen cleared her throat, “Ahem, wow, sorry about that… no I’m not. That’s damn funny.”
The scarlet squire continued to laugh in his face, until she burst out with, “Oh, I’m definitely coming. I need to see your ‘skills’ in action, first hand,” she said. 'Skills' was heavily air quoted.
Oh, this is just too good.

» She smiled. Levi had half a mind just to run at that point and not look back. Nothing good ever happened when Aspen smiled. The laughter he anticipated and had prepared himself for, but that grin chilled him to his bones. The sarcastic comments and insults he had expected, but the last time the harpy had smiled, a student's arm was broken.
But she agreed to come with him, even if it was going to be just to watch him. She was probably anticipating all of the blackmail she could get on him. "I'm going to start looking in the kitchen. If you are going to help then that's where I'll be."
The kitchens of Skyloft Academy were always bustling with the cooks and chefs preparing the days food. It smelled divine with the roasts roasting and the bread baking. The distinct perfume of sizzling bacon wafted through the air as well. If Asdorn was anywhere it would be here.
Levi began by shuffling his way through cooks and opened the pantry on the other side. He began to rifle through the boxes and bags of grain and flour. "I don't see any sign of him here. Any luck where you're searching Aspen?" He asked half expecting her to just be watching him. "Or are you too busy staring at my butt?"
