I WAS MEANT TO BE A WARRIOR PLEASE ► Rune had been pacing the halls of the castle all day. Obviously something had been on her mind, but whenever asked she'd shrug them off or just ignore them completely. Honestly, she wasn't really sure who to talk to this about. She'd for sure would have gone to Ulrich if he hadn't.. left. Ugh, she hated thinking about it. Her teeth bit into her lip as she debated asking her new Grandmaster. She didn't trust him nearly as much as Ulrich, but he was here for advice. So she had requested that he meet her in her personal.. office? Really it was where she just got her thoughts sorted out. A large dark wooden table was in there, with shelves of books and paperwork. Rune really hadn't had time to organize it at all since her father passed. So today, she was going through some stuff. Now, in front of her laid a couple of papers that really bothered her. She didn't really know how to take it all, and wanted to ask someone about it. Well, she didn't really have anyone else but Flynn. So she tapped her long nails against the hard wood, as she waited patiently, thinking hard about the whole thing.

Flynn flicked his eyes over the small slip of paper. The Exalt requested him to meet with her. About what, he didn't know. This gave him little to prepare off of. He would do his best to advise her, though, as was his duty. If the Exalt required his assistance so early, it must be something urgent. He gathered up a few of his papers before exiting his study.
The man walked briskly down the castle halls, his cloak rippling behind him. He glanced at the note again and checked for the meeting place. A strange place to have a meeting. He kept his brisk pace until he reached the room. Flynn knocked on the door and hesitated slightly before opening it. He let the door click shut before bowing.
"Afternoon, milady," he said, standing up straight again. He looked at the papers on the table for a moment. "You requested I come by and talk to you?"

I WAS MEANT TO BE A WARRIOR PLEASE ► Rune sighed softly, shuffling through the papers. When finally Flynn walked in, and her heart broke a little. It wasn't her Ulrich that was coming, it was a blue haired stranger. Well.. not really a stranger. She trusted him enough, but it just wasn't.. she sighed softly, getting up out of her seat and smiling at him. If she weren't the exalt, and if she wasn't as strong as she was. She'd probably be crying. But right now, that just wasn't the case. So, she simply said " Afternoon." She spoke. " Yep. I've got.. something important to ask advice on, but it must stay a secret. So you have to promise to keep it a secret.. not that you haven't already by taking up your role but." She said, glancing at the door behind him, making sure that the door was fully shut. " Oh and uh, no need to bow." she added, feeling more uncomfortable now from it.

Flynn nodded in response the Exalt's request, "Yes, milady. I shall refrain from doing so." He was still getting accustomed to how things worked around here, and he had had no retiring Grandmaster to teach him. All he knew was that the old Grandmaster had vanished without a trace one day. The blue haired man hoped he could live up to the old Grandmaster's legacy and be just as good as him. Flynn still wondered if the Exalt was close to the man when he was around. If he was close to her, then Flynn saw a very small chance at ever replacing him in full.
The tactician nodded again, "Of course, milady. My lips are sealed. Not a word shall leave here."

I WAS MEANT TO BE A WARRIOR PLEASE ► Rune let out a breath she didn't realize she was holding, and picked up the papers she was looking at, and handed them to Flynn. " This might sound crazy, and I apologize for making this our first assignment together, but it's been bothering me for awhile." She said. " Those papers are my fathers, inside are his plans and as to why and how he attempted to take over the nations and well.. I was thinking." Rune got up and paced back and fourth trying to debate on how to put what she wanted to say into works. " I was thinking, they weren't such bad plans though, you know?" She was hesitant to say what she was thinking. Saying she wanted to fall in her father's foot steps.. was insane! Of course, she'd have two diffrences, one. She'd get the Fire Emblem together. And two.. she wouldn't touch Skyloft. She wasn't interested in the area anyway. Just.. everywhere else.

Flynn took the papers from Rune. He flipped through them as she spoke of their first task that she aimed to accomplish. He furrowed his brow. They were bold plans, to be sure, but he couldn't help but wonder why. Why would the former Exalt want to conquer so much in the first place? He looked back to the Exalt and watched her pace for a moment.
"They aren't bad plans," he agreed. "Though, I wonder what the purpose of these are for. What's the reasoning for this? I mean no disrespect, but knowing the why can help in determining the best route with the fewest casualties." Flynn knew he shouldn't question the Exalt, but conquest of other countries wasn't something to blindly say okay to. He wanted a bit of background and a motive. Though, he supposed that he wouldn't have an option either way.

I WAS MEANT TO BE A WARRIOR PLEASE ► Smiling softly at his question Rune nodded. " I was wondering the same thing actually. To be honest, when my father did it I didn't think he had any other motive and he lost it. I also didn't think he had a chance." She commented. The turning and pulling out another folder and handed it to Flynn. " We're just talking, don't worry about it. Give me your honest opinion. I haven't decided anything." She said. " That one discusses his motivations, my father had a couple interesting ideas. One, he wanted a united nation. One where everyone could get along and one without war. But to have a world like that, you have to have to have war to achieve that." She commented. " My father didn't like the racism or the bloodshed that went on for no reason. I kind of understand and see what he means by that. His plans for the world actually looked like really good ones, to me at least." She commented. " I just want another opinion, please feel free to be honest with me. You're supposed to be my closest companion and ally, I need you to be honest. Even if you call me an idiot I'll understand." She was starting to really miss Ulrich.

"I would assume he didn't," Flynn responded as he took the second folder. He read over the first one for a little longer "Like I said, they aren't bad. They could use some fine tuning, though. We wouldn't need to go to war with every country. Mainly the troublesome ones."
The man opened the second folder and read it. He smiled a little at the former Exalt's motives, "Your father's heart was in the right place. If this is why he wanted to do it, then getting the Laguz on our side should be easier. We could take the united continent bit to Ferox and talk to them about it. If need be, we could also gather a small force of our best soldiers and have them fight for your dominance in the arena. With them backing us, the rest should be fairly easy."
Flynn closed the folders and looked back to Rune, "Did your father have any plans for Hyrule or Skyloft? Conquest to prevent war here is one thing, but moving it to a new continent and in the sky.itself would prove to be quite difficult."
