As you likely noticed in the COMBAT SYSTEM thread (which if you have not read do so now), there are multiple level weapons that do different levels of damage. As was also noted, you start with a level 0 weapon. Level 0 weapons are usually in some form of disrepair or not up to full speed. Either it's rusted, or sort of broken, or the blade has dulled or something like that. It was also stated that you upgraded your weapon, well this is where you go to do so.
In the same thread you would post in to make your consumable purchases, simply post an IC shopping post in which you're going to get your weapon upgraded. From there, the staff will handle it no problem. It should be noted though that upgrading a weapon isn't exactly cheap. It's a good idea though, in fact you should probably upgrade your weapon at least once before you start diving into magic, but that is just me. Some people, Hylians or Twili most likely, probably don't need it. That said, the prices for upgrading are.
Level 1 - 500
Level 2 - 1500
Level 3 - 3000
Also that price doubles in the event it is dual weapons you are upgrading, as each weapon is counted individually. On the plus side, that means if you say, went with abilities on both, the dual weapons would get different abilities. However, you can get some off if you want the dual weapons to have the same ability. So for dual weapons it is...
Level 1 - 1000
Level 2 - 3000
Level 3 - 6000
However, if you go the ability route and choose to give the two weapons the same ability it instead is...
Level 3 - 4500
Also, do note that throughout the upgrading process, things might change. If you give the NPC your weapon, say, a sword. It will still be a sword when you get it back. However, its appearance might have been changed over the forging process. You never know what you'll get.
ARMOR UPGRADES
First off, you actually don't start off with armor like you would a weapon. You actually have to buy it in the first place to even start reducing damage. What you make it is up to you, but when you want to buy your armor, just make an IC post in your shopping thread. The price to even own armor in the first place is...
Level 0 - 500
Armor is upgraded the exact same way as weapons are. Make an IC post saying you want it upgraded and whatnot and it'll get done. However, unlike weapons, you can't get a special ability, you can only upgrade the damage reduction three times and that's all there is to it. The real thing is the armor itself. It can really be whatever you want it to be within reason. You can make it a shield, or you can make it your actual plate mail, or whatever, within reason. The prices are...
Level 1 - 1,000
Level 2 - 2,000
Level 3 - 3,000
Now onto BLESSINGS.
BLESSINGS
Blessings are just that; magical blessings that can be used to empower your character or hurt an enemy. Very simple. As also noted in the Combat System; there was an elemental wheel. When you created your character, you had a field in which you picked your primary element. This field determines what kind of blessings you are going to get. You can eventually branch out into another element or branch of magic, but that won't be until you're quite adept in your primary branch, so keep an eye out for that.
There are two different kinds of Blessings; Physical and Magical. Magical Blessings are like your regular spells, like a fireball. Whereas Physical Blessings are more well, physical. The magic spin attack you can do in some games? That would be a physical blessing.
Blessings are also expensive, but not as expensive as weapons, before you start sweating. The prices are as follows.
Magical Blessing - 300
Physical Blessing - 500
See? Not so bad. In the meantime, you can always UPGRADE the blessings you do have, for a fee as well. There actually is no set fee. It will always fall between 200 or 500 to upgrade. If you want to upgrade your blessing, it's advised you save 500 and then just come upgrade. If you get lucky and get charged only 200, great! You can get another magical blessing.
Like everything else in the shop, just post in your shopping thread with an IC post looking for a blessing. Fairly simple.[/font][/ul][/div][/blockquote]
