The celebration for Din was complete. The shift of the festival had taken a different route from it’s liveliness and active atmosphere. Now it was time to honor the Goddess of Wisdom. Her father told her that Nayru was the one who created law and order for those to follow. The ability to think and uphold everything that the Goddesses stabilized in their world. While she was known for certain aspects of art, she played more important role for politicians, and businesses if anything else.
Sey Sey contemplated some of her father’s teachings in the past as she brought out her small little ocarina. Her index finger rubbing gently across the surface of the wooden wind instrument. She lifted the sweet ocarina to her lips before closing her oceanic irises. Her fingers hovering over the appropriate holes before she began to play a little tune. Nothing was more relaxing than sitting on a free bench playing little tunes from back home.

Music has always been one of the many enjoyable pastimes Sey Sey loved indulging in. Her mother taught her in hopes that she would enjoy more feminine hobbies rather than continuing to train with her father. She couldn’t help it. The little Hylian girl had the blood of a warrior in her – or that is what she wanted to believe. Though she loved the way it felt to play music and just forget the world around her in the melding melody up in the airwaves.
By the time she finished the song; she lowered the Ocarina from her lips, and looked back up. Only did she wake up back to reality did she notice there was someone there. Blinking a couple of times absentmindedly, she didn’t process quickly that she recognized the face perched on the opposite side of the bench. “Oh! Why hello there,” she smiled softly, “I remember you~ You didn’t stay long… actually, you weren’t that nice.” Her smile waned a little. That’s right. He was the kid that yelled at another girl. Sey Sey couldn’t help but wonder what in the world just happened.
“You shouldn’t yell at people, you know. People will consider you a jerk,” she warned with concern in her tone.

“Nobody starts out kind,” she argued, “It’s something that needs to be learned. No one in this realm or the next starts out understanding that it’s common courtesy to be nice to another person.” That was something that she was taught by her mother. People don’t start out knowing how to understand what it means to be kind to people. As infants, the only thing they could really do is cry because it was the only way they could tell their parents they need something, need food, water and shelter. Even attention.
“Maybe you’re right. Maybe it shouldn’t be expected, but don’t you think it’d be nicer on both parties to take some time, to do little things such as forgiving others for small mistakes?” Seyka tilted her head slightly to the side as she smiled back over to Julian. There was going to be plenty of people who’ll possibly annoy you in one way or another. She wasn’t saying he should try to get along with everyone, but the extra effort did make a difference.
“If we apply your logic to our conversation I’m not expected to answer that,” she teased him playfully. Though she couldn’t honestly be mean and follow through with it. “I was born in Castle Town, but most of my childhood was spent in the back country of Ordona Province. Is there somewhere in this city you need to find?”

Serve the world? Well, she didn’t really know. That wasn’t something she thought about. Could anybody blame her for thinking about playing around and having fun? Seyka wasn’t out to look over the world to make sure it was a better place. Rather, she felt that if she did a kind thing for another person then it would make some difference than not doing anything at all.
“You don’t have to serve the world in order to know how to be nice to another person,” she said with a smile, “It’s more like… it feels better to smile than it is to yell at people. No matter what the reason is.” If life brings about wrongs in your life all of the time then why should it get you down? That would be really sad now, wouldn’t it? “If you shut out the world in order to protect just yourself then you’ll miss out on those who want to become your friend. People who’ll want to stay by your side no matter what trouble you meet.” Seyka couldn’t help but wonder if this boy ever tried to make friends before. It surely didn’t look like it. That was ok then. Even if he didn’t want it the little blonde decided to be his friend!
“I’m afraid I’m not the person to go to since I don’t know where much of anything is either,” she admitted sheepishly, “Sorry about that.” Blinking a few times absentmindedly, it finally occurred to her that she’d been talking to him all of this time but never inquired about his name! Silly girl giggled softly to herself. “I’m Seyka, by the way~ What’s your name?”

So, he goes by the name Julian. That was a nice name. It was rather funny how a boy with such a sweet name had quite an attitude about him. If Sey Sey was completely honest with herself, the boy was a rather depressing youth, which confused her a bit. Most children were high-spirited or filled with wonder for the world. This boy was a little different. Quiet, only talks when need to, and usually sticks with a point at hand. No doubt about it he was a little stranger than other children she encountered before.
Still, Seyka was happy~ Since he gave his name to her then that must mean he wants to be friends! “It’s very nice to meet you, Julian,” she said happily. “I guess that means we can be friends?” Thinking about it had her almost bouncing in her seat having a new friend to call her own. Seyka would make sure that if they were friends then they’ll have a lot of fun playing together! It’ll be great. A giggle escaped from her lips.
“People do come and go in your life,” she agreed, “but that doesn’t mean it has to be permanent. As long as you keep them in your heart then they’re always with you. You’re never really alone if you believe in them. Have you ever had a chance to believe in another person?” He’s never given anybody a chance before, hasn’t he? That was a little depressing.
Though there was always a first for everything! Well, that is if he wanted it. Seyka couldn’t exactly force him into anything after all. “I’m aware that the world isn’t a pleasant place all of the time. That’s something everyone should accept, but whether or not you can be bitter about it or keep your head up is entirely your choice.” Everyone was entitled to free-will in the end.

He wasn't a bad person. Not even in the slightest definition of the word. Julian just needed someone who would take the time to sit and talk to him. A smile graced upon her lips as she internally sqwee'd as the ravenette agreed to be her friend. Nothing felt better than knowing that she made a friend today. The little blonde had been meeting all kinds of new people thanks to visiting Castle Town for the festival.
“Then it's official,” she concluded, “We're friends.”
He asked her even if they went they're separate ways and never see each other again... would they still be considered friends? That was an easy question to give an easy answer to. A giggle escape her lips looking at Julian with a pleased smile. “Of course. From here on out, I'll be your friend, and friendship is forever. Remember that~” she stated with utmost confidence. Has he really never made a friend before? Well, it only made the occasion all the more special!
“I was born in Castle Town,” she explained, “However, I was raised most of my life in Ordona Province. It's a dominantly forest country with one small village. That's where I live, in Ordon Village.” It was a very relaxing atmosphere to grow up in. She couldn’t ask for a better place to have her childhood. Sey Sey looked back over to Julian. Her head tilted over to the side as she was curious with something about him. “Are you from anywhere nearby?” she asked.

Perhaps. Some people could consider living in a small town pretty boring. Especially with the population count was under a hundred or so people living in a farming village. Though it didn't really bother the blonde in the slightest. Seyka considered herself to be pretty adaptable. What she lacked in having in a big city she replaced it with thought of believing that every day was an adventure waiting to embark upon. Like, the forest around Ordon Village was her playground to set the stage of her games.
“Not really. There's always room for having fun or doing something to do, if you put your mind to it~” she explained. “Like... back home, I like climbing up the trees, or train as if I'm becoming the next Hylian Knight of the Royal Family. My father used to be the Royal Family's Paladin but he retired a while back.” Seyka looked up to her father greatly. He was the one who told her to never give up on her dreams because they'd take her far. She should always believe in her inner strength. Most importantly, she was taught by him to never be afraid and she would go far. Even if the steps to take weren't the biggest~
Her oceanic eyes widened at the mention of being from another country altogether. That was rather impressive. How old was he anyways? “I need to be honest,” she admitted, “You're awfully young to be on your own, you know.” Though she didn't press it further than that. There had to be a reason as to why he was on his own like this. Maybe he didn't want to talk about it as well~ She did notice that he grew a little mellow at the focus of the conversation being put on him. Even so, it didn't stop her from wondering what happened.

Spread your own wings and leave the nest. In other words, everyone must grow up eventually and not one person was going to be the same on what pace is set for them to mature. Growing up certainly had it’s scary elements to it. She couldn't even begin to fathom how she would fair being on her own like Julian was now. While she didn’t make it a frequent thing to think about – Sey Sey didn’t ignore the factor that even she would be getting older with time.
Though she wasn’t going to be depressed if her childhood departed when it was time to become a grown up. She only hoped that every second she spent was used to make some kind of difference out there. “Home really is where the heart is,” she quoted an old saying, “You’ll find a place to return to… or someone to come back to, you know? Just don’t forget about the people that do care about you. I would be sad if you forgot about me, or the fact that we met today.”
She wasn’t going to deny that she was an exceptionally long distance away from home. Though in comparison to Julian’s situation this could be considered something like a vacation rather than traveling for the sake of… whatever it is that he’s doing. Seyka considered herself fortunate in that sense too. She had a loving family to return to, and a place she felt most at ease at.
“I’m eleven but I’ll be turning twelve soon,” she answered, “I made a promise to my parents that I can take care of myself quite fine. I’m totally defenseless, you know~” Her participation and victory at the end of Din’s tournament was proof of that. Though she kept that quiet, since she didn’t need to brag about it. “Whatever reason you have for leaving home… Not many kids can do that. I have to say it’s pretty brave of you to come out this far.”

“Well, that's good,” she giggled softly. “Otherwise I'd be worried about doing something wrong.” Seyka did her best not to tread on grounds that shouldn't be treaded just yet. The way he looked deep in thought every time something reminded him of home did worry her. Unfortunately, the last thing she wanted was to push him away by prying into things he probably didn't want her to knowing just yet. All good things come to those who can wait, after all~ Maybe one of these days she can get him to open up little by little.
“Tell me, do you like it out here in Hyrule?” she asked curiously. “I bet it's a lot different than it is from Termina, isn't it?” The little Hylian blonde made a bit of a daring move by scooting closer to the boy. She felt it was a little more comfortable rather than leaving a big gap between them on the bench.
“One day, when I'm all grown up, I'd like to travel out and see the world.” Blue eyes looked up to the sky in a dreamy manner. The same vast open space that matched the color of her pools for eyes. “Definitely want to see it all!”

On the bright side, she didn't hear him complain about anything bad about Hyrule. That left room for Julian to really see all the beauty that this country has. Even if she didn't see all of it either (one day, she will, without a doubt there), she could agree that it was one of the most wonderful place to have adventures in.
“Sounds to me you've gained quite a bit of worldly knowledge already,” she smiled softly, “I hope you leave more room to continue to grow as you explore wherever you go, Julian. Most importantly, you should have lots of fun too.” No matter how grown up he may think he is - her new found friend was still a kid. He needed to take care of himself as well. Seyka was very glad to make a new friend today. Especially someone who travels and sees the world at such an early age already.
The young blonde stood up on her two feet before unwrinkled the skirt of her dress. Once she finished prepping herself up her attention returned back over to Julian. Her eternal bubbly smile remained graced upon her lips. “I best head off now,” she said. Her smile wanning slightly not wanting to leave but it was getting late now. She spent a good deal of time together with her new friend just conversing not realizing how much time left.
“Until the next time we meet, Julian,” she bid farewell.
