Status effects. If you've played an RPG, you know what it's like. Blind making all your attacks miss, poison inducing a sense of panic, or God forbid, you get hit with Confusion. That never goes well. Anyway, Status Effects exist here on this site too. Some spells can cause them, so can some racial abilities. Along with some weapon effects. Really, a lot can cause them. So just keep a couple ways to cure yourself on hand.

Bleeding
- Rapid blood loss. A character loses a heart every post. The Iron Knuckle and Goron equivalent of this is rust and erosion.
Duration: Until it is cured or a character falls unconscious.
Blind
- For a short period of time, a character is unable to see anything.
Duration: Until it is cured or five posts.
Burning
- Constant pain that feels like a burn. A character suffers from hot skin. While in burning status, they are immune to freezing or frozen.
Duration: Until it is cured or five posts.
Chaos
- A character is confused. They are unable to act, think, or move like they usually would due to being disoriented. They are unable to attack or cast magic.
Duration: Until it is cured or three posts.
Charm
- For a short period of time, a character will follow the orders of another character and do whatever they can to keep the caster safe.
Duration: Until it is cured or three posts.
Coma
- A character loses all but one heart and all of their magic points. Better do something fast!
Duration: Until it is cured. Upon being cured, their hearts and magic points return.
Critical Wounds
- The wounds a character have suffered are too much. It is impossible for any hearts to be recovered at the time. The Iron Knuckle and Goron equivalent of this is extreme damage to their bodies.
Duration: Until it is cured.
Crystallization
- A character begins to turn to crystal. It starts at their feet and moves up, taking three posts to fully crystallize one. While being crystallized, a character can still attack, even if moving is impossible.
Duration: Until it is cured.
Curse
- Physical and magical attack power is dropped to half of what it usually is. Movement speed is drastically reduced.
Duration: Until it is cured.
Deep Sleep
- A character falls into a deep slumber. They will not wake up even if attacked.
Duration: Until it is cured.
Divest
- A character is disarmed and unable to pick up their weapon.
Duration: Until it is cured or three posts.
Dizzy
- It is impossible for a character to move. They can still take damage while in dizzy status.
Duration: Until it is cured or three posts.
Freezing
- It's really chilly in here! A character suffers from the cold, which makes their movement speed decrease drastically.
Duration: Until it is cured or five posts.
Frozen
- Magical ice completely covers a character. While the character is unable to move, they are also immune to physical attacks.
Duration: Until it is cured or three posts.
Hallucination
- For a short duration of time, a character sees things that aren't real and is extremely disoriented.
Duration: Until it is cured or three posts.
Hault
- A character is unable to move for a short period of time. The character can still attack and cast magic as long as they do not need to move their legs.
Duration: Until it is cured or three posts.
Petrification
- Magical stone completely covers a character. While the character is unable to move, they are also immune to magical attacks.
Duration: Until it is cured or three posts.
Poison
- Poison causes pain and weakness. A character loses half a heart every post and is left feeling exhausted afterwards. The Iron Knuckle and Goron equivalent of this is rust and erosion.
Duration: Until it is cured.
Silence
- Speaking, and spell casting, is temporarily impossible.
Duration: Until it is cured or five posts.
Sleep
- A character falls asleep suddenly. If they are attacked, they will be woken up, but they can be moved easily.
Duration: Until it is cured or three posts.
Slow Casting
- Physical and magical abilities take much longer to prepare and are much easier to dodge. Wait it out!
Duration: Until it is cured or five posts.
Slow
- Movement speed is decreased, which means attack speed is decreased as well.
Duration: Until it is cured or three posts.
Stun
- A character is temporarily stunned. Movement speed, reaction time, and all of that is slowed, but it is still possible to do things.
