Rainy. The day had been rainy. He figured that was a part of sprint showers, but still, sometimes he wondered why they ended up getting it. Skyloft was above the clouds, so why would they get rain? Then again, there were clouds above them too. That made him wonder if there was a Skyloft above Skyloft. If there were other knights that sort of watched them and acted when things started get out of control. That was how the Knights of Skyloft worked; fight against ancient evils, at least that was the general idea, he thought. Maybe one of these days he should just go jump on Gwaihir and fly high up into the sky to try and find out for himself. Well, that wouldn't be today. Mainly because again, it was raining. And because it was raining that meant that it was wet and he would get soaked and that would just be no fun. Plus he doubted Gwaihir would bother taking him up in the rain. Really, an emergency, sure, he knew his friend would be there to get him no matter what the circumstances. But when it wasn't really an issue and it could wait until some other time, well Gwaihir probably didn't care less. The bird was always quite the free spirit, which considering how Alex was, made a lot of sense. So for now he just bunkered down in the academy, waiting for the rain to go away. Which, if the sounds of said rain against the window was anything to go by, it would be a while; it was coming down pretty hard. Great. With a bit of a sigh, he moved away from said window, deciding that maybe he would just find something to do by strolling down the halls, trying to figure something out. Maybe he would just run into someone or something that he could do to take his mind off the fact he couldn't go outside. Maybe head to the bazaar? That might not be a bad idea. It would mean running through the rain. Wait, he had a hoodie. Right, he had forgotten all about that sort of thing. He probably could. Though finding a sparring buddy might be fun too. Surprisingly much to do. tags: open notes: someone give him something to do CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

Tag: Alex. Notes: Because he has no one else to bother. >w> | A ll she could see was perpetual rain streaming against the glass of her window. Her fingertips were pressed against the cool glass as she watched the heavens pour down water to wash everything away to begin anew. Honesly, Ashe did enjoy watching the rain from the comfort of her room. It was quiet and peaceful. There was no one else to bother her at this time of day as the more restless teenagers sought to alleviate their boredom. She did worry about Caedmon, since she knew he was not too fond of this kind of weather. The proud creature detested having his plumage ruined in any manner. Flying through the rain would be a rather fun thing to do, though. Perhaps she could gently coax Caedmon to humor her odd hobbies. Goddess knew she could persuade him to do some questionable things at times. Aerial moves her instructors had yet to teach her, or flying a little beyond the limits of Skyloft. Slim fingers curled against the window as a smile form on her lips. It would not be such a bad thing to do, would it? Ashe usually was a rather good student that was obedient to the rules set down by the instructors. Sometimes it was nice to push those boundaries, though. Life could not always be played by what was expected of her, though. Things had to be pushed and changed to flow with the passing of time. She shifted in her bed until she was facing away from the window, running a hand through her loose curls. It would take too much time to braid her hair, so she only grabbed her ribbon to tie it back in a ponytail. Otherwise, it flowed loosely down her back to her hips. Another little vanity of hers, since female Knights with long hair was not the best idea. Then again, she was still just a squire. No need to worry about such things for awhile yet. Idly, she grabbed her cloak and slipped it over her shoulders. Her hood was left down, since she hardly wished to be looked upon with suspicion. No, Ashe was just going on a stroll through the bazaar in rainy weather as far as anyone else was concerned. They did not need to know she intended to ride her loftwing through the rainy skies. Giggling to herself, she closed the door behind her and left the female dormitories. She fled down the hallways easily enough, but what she had not been expecting was someone else to be lingering about. In her haste, Ashe collided with the younger male and fell in a heap of fabric and surprise. Emerald eyes blinked owlishly at the blond she was accidentally straddling. “Oh, I did not know you were still here, Alexander,” she greeted easily enough. Like nothing was out of the ordinary at all. |

Well, this day just got better. He always liked seeing Ashelia, always made him feel fairly... flutter flutter. That might have been a way to put it. He admired quite a few things about her. Plus he was pretty sure that she held something for him. She hadn't exactly told him to go away and never ever bother her again despite everything. Then again, everything to him mostly just consisted on hitting on her here and there. Still, everything felt funny around her, but that didn't reduce him to a stammering wreck. Had he just met her? Likely he would have. But he had known her for quite a while, so regardless, he felt comfortable with her. It still didn't stop him from not moving. That is, he did nothing to get out of the way, as she didn't seem to see him. So when they crashed together, there was a bit of satisfaction. Especially since he hadn't put much force into it, so having the girl on top of him was somewhat interesting. He didn't miss her question, but he did answer it in a way that was well, like Alex, he figured. "Oh yes, still here. Quite dreary." He remarked, exaggerating just how bothersome he found it just a little bit. Plus he at least had company now. Good company that he wouldn't really complain about. How fun~ His eyes not leaving Ashe, he did allow his ears to continue to pick up on the pattering against the roof, the drops against the window. He wondered, what did she have to do? He noticed she was wearing a cloak. "And considering how dreary things happen to be, I must ask," He remarked, his hands reaching up, fingers drifting through her hair... as he found her ribbon and started trying to untie it. He preferred her hair without it anyway. "What has you in such a rush then?" He just asked in a rather normal manner. He doubted there'd be much flying today, unless they wanted to get wet. Or catch a cold. tags: ashelia notes: well that's someone o3o CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

Tag: Alex. Notes: Dun touch the hair. | H onestly, it took a few moments for Ashe to realize that she was straddling the younger male. Was it a bad thing that Alexander’s complete lack of tact was beginning to rub off on her? Usually she would have quickly extricated herself from this compromising position and apologized profusely, but this was Alexander. Such a thing would hardly mean anything, since no doubt he had made no attempt to avoid her accidental collision. Ashe really did wonder what went through the younger boy’s mind at times. No, perhaps it was best that she never knew what went on in that head of his. New ways to have the instructors pulling their hair out and resisting the sincere urge to drop him from Skyloft head first. He really was a bad influence on her, because she was still not moving at all. Goddess be damned! “I did not notice at all,” she remarked with a quirked brow. A sarcastic edge to her tone spoke of her already fraying nerves where Alexander was concerned. Right, she really should stand before an instructor just happened to go down this hallway. Before she could do so, Ashe froze the moment she felt his fingers slide through her hair unwelcome. Emerald eyes widened slightly as she glanced down at him. Honestly, it amazed her how very little he gave to regards of personal space, but she really was not one to speak right now. Pink lips thinned as her eyes narrowed at him. Now the usual routine was finally breaking through. Ashe was quite used to this as she quickly smacked his hands away from attempting to untie her ribbon. It would be more troublesome to deal with wet and unbound. Hastily, Ashe extricated herself from him at last as she ran her hands over the fabric of her dress to straighten herself up. Her cloak soon settled around her as she glanced at him. “You know I do not like you messing with my hair. I prefer it tied back as it is,” she replied with a mild glare. The words would merely go through one ear and out the other. No amount of protestation ever got the message through. “As for why I am in a rush, I simply wish to fly in the rain. No one else will be in the sky with such weather, so I have little worry about getting into trouble.” The idea of being chilled by the rain did not bother her at all, since she had done this before. Just not with Alexander also crossing her path while she did so. |

And just like that, she got up off him. Well, he supposed he couldn't really stop her from that, and he supposed he couldn't really say anything about the ribbon. What could he say without coming off as dead wrong? So instead, he'd keep quiet. He still wanted to see her with her hair down at some point, as he imagined it'd be a very nice sight. But he could keep it quiet. So instead, he simply got up off the floor. Unlike Ashelia, he honestly didn't care if anyone had seen what was happening. He doubted anyone would really think anything of it. They just considered that Alex was up to mischief if something happened with him around. So he just heard her out. Wait, she wanted to fly out in the rain? But why? She would get wet, she would get cold. She might even catch a cold, and that would just be no fun. Then she would be confined to bed all day. Maybe. Really, he tried to get out when he got sick. But most of the time he got ordered back because they didn't want him spreading it around or something. Well whatever. Still the point was he questioned her decision to fly. It was one thing to go for a walk, you could use the hood to keep your head nice and dry. And your hair dry and fluffy too. Hoods meant nothing in the cold wind. Plus you yourself couldn't see anything, having to cover your eyes. "I'd rather not recommend such a thing." He remarked, beginning to take a few steps to the right, then a few to the left. It went on for a moment before it was clear that he was pacing in front of her. "The frigid winds and the rain would keep you from seeing, get you soaked, and you would likely catch a cold." He wasn't really sure how the knights on patrol managed to get through it all. It was actually quite impressive, now that he thought about it. "Plus I doubt your loftwing would really be too thrilled about flying in freezing rain." He knew Gwaihir wasn't. tags: ashelia notes: but it is such nice hair CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

Tag: Alex. Notes: He really is a bad influence. | A she had the feeling he would dislike the idea of her riding her loftwing in the rain. It could present a danger, but it was not an unfamiliar one. The rain was not especially heavy, and she had not seen a hint of lightning through her window. No, all she had to worry about was the cold wind circling the skies surrounding Skyloft. No doubt Caedmon would be slightly testy with her about this. He was always quite proud of his appearance, and an afternoon in the rain would not do him any favors. Perhaps Alexander was becoming a bad influence on her, since she had not considered such things before she met him. Look at the role reversal now? Here she was ready to act in a moment of impulsiveness while the younger male attempted to be the voice of reason. The world really was a strange place at times. Emerald eyes shone with slight amusement as she watched Alexander begin to pace before her. There were small moments like these when she did appreciate his concern over her wellbeing. Hopefully he did not ruin it with a disparaging remark that would only irritate her. There was not much else to do with the rain keeping nearly everyone inside. The bazaar could prove to be a welcome distraction, but a part of her craved just a little excitement right now. Ashe would not fly with Caedmon too far from the boundaries of Skyloft, or the wind could prove to be too much to handle. Even if the winds proved to treacherous to handle, then she could still pay a visit to her loftwing. Perhaps he would appreciate a visit and some company beyond the other loftwings that would be with him. “Caedmon would not mind getting wet as long as it is not too often. As for the wind, I usually see well enough and do not fly out of sight of Skyloft,” Ashe answered easily enough. Pink lips curled into a slightly impish smile as she tucked the expanse of her hair beneath her cloak. Soon her hood was pulled up until the top half of her face was shadowed from view. “Now, you can either join me, or pretend you never saw me. Either choice is yours to make.” Spinning on her heel, Ashe quickly took off down the hall once more. |

That still wasn't a good idea. Even if she didn't get stick there was still the fact that she would be flying out in the midst of thousands if not millions of water particles turned missiles. So instead of just leaving her, he'd follow. He'd rather not end up flying out in the rain, and he was pretty sure he'd have to force Gwaihir into doing so, but whatever. Maybe they could at least do something else. If she really wanted to go out so bad then they could do that. Just not flying. He could at least wear his hood for something else. Or go to another building. The Bazaar wasn't wet. Normally. Sometimes water slipped in, but still. Catching up to her, he casually just kept on talking. "If you're flying against the wind then it gets in your eyes or splatters your goggles, blinding you." Which, considering how fast a Loftwing could go when they really wanted to, that would hurt. He didn't want her to hurt. Maybe they could do something else. He had money, that wasn't an issue. Despite what people thought, he was actually really, really good with money when he wanted to be. So maybe he could just take her somewhere as a method of distracting her. Plus, he could think of it as a date, that might be somewhat nice, even if it was just to him. So keeping beside her, he made his offer. "If you're really itching to get out. I propose a third option then; we can head to the bazaar, maybe look around, get something to eat." It was kind of funny, he was one of the younger ones here, and yet he had more money than most everyone. And of course everyone thought he was out to cause trouble, it was actually pretty funny. Of course, he did sort of keep this from most people. He didn't want them suddenly realizing he had cash and trying to cozy up to him just to get some rupees. But he didn't really think Ashe would do that. At least he hoped she wouldn't. tags: ashelia notes: if what he's saying is reasonable it's not a bad influence CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

Tag: Alex. Notes: Ashe would be an expensive date. -snerks- | T he world really was spinning in the opposite direction today, no? How amusing it was for Alexander to be the voice of reason for once. Ashe sincerely wished to fly despite the less-than-stellar weather that could hinder her. It looked like Alexander had made his choice to follow, but had she expected any less? Not really. He always followed after her the moment he saw her, but she really did not know why. Perhaps it was her fault for not standing firm against his advances whenever he attempted to flirt with her. She had expected eventually that the age difference would deter him just a little. Two years was not that much, but she would be sixteen in a few seasons, and that would see her in the final stages of her training. No doubt it would leave her with less time to run into him by accident, and she sincerely hoped to partake in the Goddess Festival before long. How lovely it would be to advance into the final stages of her training should she be chosen to be the Goddess. “Mhmm,” Ashe murmured absently. Her thoughts were drowning out Alexander at present as she pondered over her future. Would she be able to travel to the surface when she became an actual Knight? Oh, how she wished to see what the surface world looked like beneath the clouds that hid the land from view. Ashe knew she had been born there originally, but her parents had given her up to be raised in Skyloft. She could not regret such a thing, because she was happy here. Caedmon would not be hers if she had been raised on the surface. It would still be nice to see where she had come from, though. One day at a time, right? Today she would worry about alleviating her boredom on a rainy day. Alexander no doubt had a plan in mind to keep her from flying straight into danger quite literally. She suddenly spun on her heel as she walked backwards to peer at him from beneath her hood. A third option? It sounded suspiciously like a date to her. Ashe had no intention of calling an outing with Alexander that, because she did not view him that way. He was her friend when he did not take the time to follow her like a lost puppy. “Then a compromise. I still intend to see my loftwing at the very least. I shall look around the bazaar with you, but afterwards I am visiting Caedmon. Perhaps Gwaihir would appreciate a visit as well in this miserable weather.” |

Well that would work. He just didn't want her flying out in this sort of weather. If she wanted to stop by and see their loftwings, then no he didn't have much for objections in the way of that. Though he supposed it was a bit odd that she would rather just look around. But he wouldn't look a gift horse in the mouth. It was nice that he could at least talk her out of it, and hell, as an extra bonus he was getting to spend a little bit of time with her as well. Granted, he wasn't all that crazy to get wet, but still, that was what he had his hood for. "Yeah that's fine but no flying." He smiled. It might be nice to go and see Gwaihir. Happy with the agreement, Alexander threw up his hood to obscure his face. Honestly, this probably wouldn't go well, people might think he was up to no good. Well, they might not actually, because he tended to really not care if he was seen or not, unless he considered it actually harmful. For innocent pranks, yeah he didn't care if people busted him... usually. He really didn't like having to scrub pots for a month. But still, he would at least have some time with Ashelia. Always a nice thing to have. He hurried on ahead and opened the door to the academy. Yeah it was actually coming down. He was glad he had his hood up. Taking a step out, he could already hear the drops of rain splattering against the cloth of his hood. Man was he glad for that thing. He could keep his hair nice and dry, and fluffy too. Yes he took very good care of his hair. He kept it unkempt, sure. But he made sure it was soft. Turning to face Ashelia, he held out his hand in invitation. "If the lady will be so kind as to accompany me." He snickered slightly. Oh sure, he had a feeling she wouldn't do it, but might as well have some fun and enjoy it, right? He was expecting her to either say no, or just brush past him and continue onto the bazaar. tags: ashelia notes: i'm not saying anything CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

Tag: Alex. Notes: Of course not. >> | T here was still the very real possibility that Ashe would decide to go flying once she visited Caedmon. Rain was just such a wonderful thing to experience while in flight, and the slight adrenaline rush never failed to bring a smile to her face. Emerald eyes flickered to Alexander at his remark of no flying. Pink lips merely curled in a vague smile as she made a noncommittal noise to signify she acknowledged him. Would she adhere to his request? Well, Ashe would find out later on, no? It was simply better not to tell a lie just to reassure him when there was the real possibility she would revoke her statement later on. Lying was not something she enjoyed doing too often, and to Alexander even less when he was not being too much of a bother. Right now he was acting like a gentleman, which was a nice change of pace. This would still not be considered a date, though. Her brow quirked as Alexander rushed ahead of her to open the door and hold it out for her. Ashe merely shook her head at his antics, wondering when he would eventually give up his pursuit of her. Perhaps part of it was her fault, because she did not exactly outright tell him to leave her alone. She considered him a friend most of the time. What was she to do? She did not reciprocate his more advanced gestures with ones of her own, though. Alexander most likely knew that she did not return his affections. Well, she did give him points on his insistence. Her sensitive ears could pick up on the rain that was falling outside, and she felt the familiar rush of excitement curl through her veins. There was just something about the rain that had her heart race and her mood soar higher than the skies that surrounded them. As she stepped outside, she noticed he had extended his hand towards her. Ashe wasted little time in pulling back her hood to allow the rain to dampen her hair and splash against her cheeks. It felt cool against her skin and she took a moment to savor the sensation. Another impish smile crossed her lips as she merely walked past Alexander. “I am certainly no lady, since what lady endeavors to become a Knight? And are you not the one accompanying me?” Emerald eyes glittered before she spun on her heel and sprinted in the direction of the bazaar. |

As expected, she didn't take the gesture. She didn't even acknowledge it. Instead she just went right past him and out the door. Hell, she didn't even bother to walk, she just ran off in a full sprint, as if she was trying to actively get away from him. His smile dimmed a bit. Well, maybe she was just trying to get there in a hurry. He doubted she was trying to ditch him, that wasn't the kind of person she was, that was what he figured. Yes, if he took his time and went to the bazaar, she would still be there, waiting for him. If nothing else, she was a friend, and friends, well friends didn't really do that. At least that was what he figured. Needless to say, he didn't actually run off in a full sprint. There was no need to completely hurry with everything. Rush rush, while he liked to rush. Something about today, no real need to rush. Maybe it was just the rain making him slow, he wasn't sure. And thankfully, he actually turned out to be right. At the bazaar, Ashelia was still there. He would admit that there was a bit of relief in him for that. He sometimes wondered. Still, it didn't stop him from approaching the girl, he had been thinking about what she said. He didn't see the problem in her still being a lady despite training to be a knight, they weren't mutually exclusive. "Well now, how can you be so sure?" He remarked, as if absolutely no time had passed between her words and her running off. Eyes scanned the bazaar. There was food, of course. Then you had the item check, the scrap shop, a couple vendors... very colorful. "Lady Hylia was just that; a lady." Granted, a goddess, but she was still a fighter all the same. "She was such a lady that to this day we still call her 'her grace.'" He looked up at her. Still found it odd that she had a good few inches on him. "And isn't that who you're aiming for?" A swift smile. tags: ashelia notes: he's got a point <w< CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

Tag: Alex. Notes: She still doesn't think she's a lady. | P erhaps she should have waited for him to walk with her? Ashe was not trying to ditch Alexander, because that would be more than rude. No, she only wanted to tease him just a little. The rain felt so wonderful against her warm cheeks as she ran through it, anyway. If not for the fact she was wearing her usual white dress, then she would have left her cloak in her dormitory. No, Ashe had enough sense to keep her cloak secured around her body, or she would be giving a nice view for any male within sight radius. There was no way she was giving Alexander the chance to see her in such an unwelcome state. As if she wished to be the star in any of his dreams. Did he dream of her? Ashe did not think she wanted to know. Her sprint slowed as she waited for him to catch up. Humming to herself, she resisted the urge to simply spin beneath the falling rain. All was being washed away before her to be renewed once more. The bazaar did have a few visitors on this day, which was nice to see. Rain should not be a reason to stay indoors all day. Well, unless there was thunder and lightning and high winds. Everything was so vivid and colorful to see even with the haze of the rain surrounding her. Emerald eyes flickered over to Alexander as he finally caught up with her. Was he upset with her for running from him like that? He did not appear to be, but she would try to keep her excitement under wraps. Sometimes she acted without really thinking her actions through. It was easy to when most of the time she only kept her own company. Ashe supposed the other girls her age found her to be too flighty and idealistic for their tastes. That was okay, since she knew Caedmon accepted her the way she was. “I suppose that is true. There was no greater a lady than Hylia,” she mused gently. The Goddess did fight against the evil God to stop his tyrannical reign and eventually sealed him away. Ashe did admire the Goddess greatly, and she could only hope to perform her role within the Goddess Festival. She wondered who her chosen hero would be if she was able to get the part. Her lips curled into an amused smile at the thought before looking thoughtfully to Alexander. “It is who I am aiming to be. Perhaps she was a lady, but I still do not view myself as such. Either way, did you have something in mind here?” He was the one that wished to see the bazaar. |

They were going to be arguing this all day, weren't they? Well, he had his position, and he wouldn't move from it. Though part of him wondered if she actually believed him but was just fishing for compliments. She could be an odd girl at times, but that's what made it so enjoyable to be around her, he figured. "See now if you tell yourself you're not a lady, how can you expect to actually be one?" Mind over matter and all that. If you figured you would never get anywhere, how could you expect it to actually work out? You had to take the initiative. Probably explained a lot considering how he was with her. Moving in front of her, he fanned his arms out, wiggling his fingers all the while. "You just gotta belieeeeve."Her aspiring to be like the Goddess, as she did desire to play her in the festival someday. He might have to sneak into the race or something for that sort of ordeal. Or at least sabotage the efforts of someone who might be sweet on her, or something. Then again as far as he knew, he was the only one that felt such a way. So for now he really didn't have to worry about something like that. Plus who knows, maybe things would change between them. Maybe she would come to reciprocate his feelings, or maybe he would finally give up and move on. But for now, he had something resembling free time and some ideas on what do do. Scanning the bazaar, he half-heartedly pointed at each attraction before his face gave away his thoughts. They ranged mostly from mild disagreement to outright disgust. The only two he seemed to really be okay with happened to be the food court, and another spot, a small clothing store. Mainly because he always liked expanding. He was an odd kid at times. Of course, the weapon stall appealed to him, but he still couldn't use one. So for now, he looked back at Ashelia, and gave a shrug that indicated that he was fine with whatever. Tag: Alex. Notes: I may play her, but she does what she wants. xD | P erhaps she did not wish to be a lady? Ashe did not know if she wanted to be considered once, since many of the ones she had read about came across as simpering, helpless noblewomen that could not fend for themselves at all. The Goddess was an exception, but she was also above the usual flaws and faults of mortal men and women. Ashe aspired to be as resourceful and kind as Hylia, but she did not know if she wished to emulate her entirely. How would she be Ashelia if she attempted to take on another’s identity? Emerald eyes gazed upwards at the sky as she contemplated the question. The simple answer was that she would not be herself. Aspiring to be like someone could be a good thing, but she did not wish to lose herself along the way. For now, she was still Ashelia Hawke and that was how she would like things to remain. A squire-in-training to become a Knight when her instructors felt she was ready for the honor. As for what else life had in store for her? She would find out when it was time to. Her thoughts were shaken away as Alexander suddenly stepped in front of her and spread his arms out quite oddly. A slim brow quirked as she took in his ridiculous stance. Ashe merely smiled before ruffling his hair like an older sister would. “Perhaps you will believe enough for the both of us, hm?” Now what was there to do here? Not many of the shops looked all that promising with the weather, nor would they hold her attention for long. Flying through the rain would be so much better than wandering aimlessly through the bazaar. Honestly, she did not see why Alexander protested so much against her doing so. He certainly pulled off more mischievous stunts than she did. It was a wonder sometimes that the headmaster had not expelled him, but she was glad that had not happened. The Academy would certainly be much duller without him. It looked like she was not the only one disappointed with the vendors. The only ones of mild interest were the food court and a clothing shop. Hunger did not strike her quite yet, so that left only the clothing shop as a distraction. Ashe really had to steel herself against simply turning directions and looking for her loftwing. She lead the way forward into the shop and was glad for the brief reprieve from the rain. Tendrils of her hair stuck to her flushed cheeks, but she did not mind. Ashe had been the one to keep her hood down after all. Disinterest was easily seen in her eyes as she looked through the clothing. Her head tilted to the side as she noticed a black coat with a fur trimming around the hood. “This seems like an article that you would wear, Alexander,” she mused as she held the hanger out towards him. |

Ooh, coat coat, fancy coat. Taking a good look at it, he had to admit he was taken immediately. The nice black leather of the outfit, seemed nice and snug too. The best part of all, it looked so fluffy on the inside. Yes yes, he would have to admit that he enjoyed it. It showed too, his eyes were practically sparkling. "Oh yes, this is rather nice. Very fancy, very fuzzy." Fingers rubbed the fabric as he wasted no time in practically ripping it off the hanger. Swiftly taking his current hoodie off, he immediately got to putting it on with a grin. Well, he was easy to please. "Well then," he paused to show it off. "How do I..."He could notice she wasn't enjoying this. If the dull, uninterested look in her eyes wasn't really enough of a giveaway. "... Ah." Well, then this had been a complete waste of time then, hadn't it? Eyes cast downward for a moment. Part of it was a bit of deflation, another part was trying to come up with something. What could they... well she wanted to go see her loftwing, and she wanted to go flying. He didn't want her to go flying though. She was soaked enough as it is, he supposed. She already decided to run out without even bothering to put her hood up. Was there any point in stopping her now? Raising his head, he threw his new hood over his head. "So you wanted to go see the blue fowl, right?" He remarked, bringing back his usual cheery bravado. He doubted he'd go flying but... ooh cords, this hood had cords. He instantly tugged on them as hard as he could, pulling it around so his head felt nothing but fluff. Granted, one could barely see anything but his eyes and nose, but that was fine. They should probably pay for this too. Well, he should, he wouldn't make her spend any of her hard earned money. Well, at least he was sure she earned it. He never really asked where she got it. tags: ashelia notes: caedmon is a blue terror CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

Tag: Alex. Notes: He is not a blue terror. </3 | A she really was being poor company today, no? It was not Alexander’s fault that she was rather disinterested in her current surroundings, and she should be doing a better job in covering up her boredom. He was trying to have a good time with her after all. At least he liked the coat she had picked out, right? There was simply nothing she could do to muster a smile as Alexander spun around to show the hoodie off to her. Emerald eyes dulled for a moment when she noticed the immediate response to her lack of interest. What could she say? An apology would be a good start, since she could see the slight hunch to his shoulders that spoke of his disappointment. This was not a date, but she could do better to place on a smile for his benefit. Ashe knew that this was why the others did not enjoy spending time with her all that much. She did not think of herself as a bad person, but she tended to allow her attention to be diverted into her own world. “It really does suit you. Flamboyant, as you usually are,” Ashe commented with a more genuine smile. That was simply Alexander’s nature after all. Her head tilted to the side as she watched him think of something else to do. It would be nice to see their loftwings, since that had been her original intention before literally running into him. The least she could do was pay for his jacket for disappointing him like this. Where did she get her rupees? Well, gathering ingredients for the instructors was always a good way to get some extra money. They favored her with small tasks to do. How else would she afford her collection of dresses? A habit that may need to be rid of once she did become a knight. Her eyes did narrow a margin when he called Caedmon a fowl. Why did he have to insult her loftwing? Ashe did not do the same with Gwaihir, did she? No, she viewed the majestic birds with the utmost respect at all times. “His name is Caedmon, as you well know. Please, do not call him anything else.” She turned and headed towards the counter of the shop. The correct amount of rupees were pulled out and handed to the cashier before she made her way to the exit of the shop. Her hood was still down as the rain soaked into her damp hair once again, but she merely smiled serenely at the sensation. |

Flamboyant, now that was a bit much. He was most certainly not flamboyant. He could be a little eccentric, but perhaps she was going a bit far calling him flamboyant. Maybe. He didn't see himself as such. He was just a little energetic. Loosening the hood a bit, he opened his mouth again. "Oh yes, just because I am a rather vibrant individual means I am totally flamboyant." He said with a playfully sarcastic angle. If nothing else, it was at least helping to get his spirits back up. It didn't seem too hard to get him back to his usual self. Though he had to admit, it still bothered him a little to know that she wasn't enjoying herself out on the bazaar. Still, he did make a mental note to pay her back for paying for the coat. It was the very least he could do. He could've paid for the coat himself, but before he could she had already stepped in. That said, he did notice her slight glare at the fact he had called Caedmon a giant, overgrown chicken. It was fun to rile her up too, mainly because he could usually get himself out of anything she threw at him. So for a moment he just strolled on out of the bazaar, letting his fancy new hoodie shield his head. His hair would be nice and fluffy, and he himself felt nice and fluffy. It didn't take too long for him to catch up to her either. "Oh relax." He remarked, speaking about the whole giant blue chicken incident. Things were going to be awkward if a blue cucco ever made it to Skyloft somehow. "It's not like Caedmon heard it. What he doesn't hear won't hurt him." Really, why bother getting so far up in a fuss over it. But she wanted to see her loftwing, and he figured it was fine. It was probably under some shelter like the other loftwings he figured. Gwaihir would be, that was for sure. That bird did what Alex needed, but not always what he wanted. tags: ashelia notes: 5 rupees says you are or were going to make caedmon hate alex CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

Tag: Alex. Notes: I seriously wasn't thinking about that until you mentioned it. -snerks- | H ow easily he crawled under her skin at times. Ashe disliked that particular trait of Alexander’s quite a bit. Careless, callous remarks that often earned him more enmity than friendship. She knew better than to take what he said at face value, but she disliked others insulting her loftwing. They were creatures that did deserve their utmost respect, and Caedmon was the other half to her being. No citizen of Skyloft was whole without their loftwing to make them whole again. Perhaps she took this legend a little too seriously. Either way, she did not take insults to the blue bird lightly. How lovely it would be to cast aside her cloak and let the rain completely soak her through. If only she had chosen a darker hued dress, then she would be doing so right now. Ashe would merely have to content herself with her soaked hair, right? She bit back a giggle, knowing it would take awhile to get all of the knots out from her loose curls. Emerald eyes hardened slightly as she glanced back to Alexander. Well, he was certainly enjoying his new coat. At least it made them even for that plush toy he had snuck into her dormitory. Ashe still had no wish to know how he had known which room was hers, and how he had placed it on her bed when the door had been locked. “Unless I deign to tell him, of course,” she replied coolly. Not that she would, since her loftwing already viewed the boy somewhat warily. Not quite a dislike of his person, but as if he did not know what to make of him. A lot of people did not know what to make of Alexander after all. Humming to herself, she gently reached out to the telepathic bond that all shared with their loftwings. Mild annoyance and relief were sent back to her, and she merely laughed at it. No, Caedmon would not be pleased with her for calling him from his shelter. It took only a few moments for her to see the great wingspan of her loftwing as he soared down towards her in the rain. The rain certainly enhanced the beauty of his plumage, which he was pleased to acknowledge as her apology. Such a proud creature he was at time. Ashe reached out from her cloak to stroke his beak as he settled down onto the ground before her. Crimson eyes regarded her with exasperation as she thought of her intent. Flying in the rain was not the most enjoyable task to be asked to do, but the rain was lightening up somewhat. There was not much wind to throw Caedmon off balance, nor would it hinder her view too much. “I still do wish to fly, you know.” |

And so they arrived to see the loftwings. As expected, Caedmon came down. He had to admit, it could be a rather pretty bird at times. However, it also was the kind that could be rather easy to irritate, especially in this weather. And of course, it didn't surprise him in the least when Ashelia planned on flying anyway. So she was going to be all disappointed, make him feel bad, completely blow off his feelings, ditch him, then go back on her word and fly anyway when she had expressly agreed not to. Honestly, what in the world did Alex see in her? Perhaps one day he would figure out why he was so drawn to her at times. Instead of being disappointed though, Alexander simply rolled his eyes at this. He wasn't completely blind to her ways. "I figured. Unfortunately for you, I had planned for this." Whether that was true, and he actually did plan it out, or whether he just made this stuff up as he went along, that wasn't exactly known. That said, he did actually have something in mind to keep her grounded, at least for a little bit. Just make things a big enough mess that there would be no way that she could fly off on Caedmon like there was nothing wrong. She would have to stay and fix the mess that had been caused, so he got to work. Gold eyes darted to Caedmon. He was a very proud bird at times, he figured, so this just might work. "You see, lately I noticed that the blue fowl has put on quite a bit of weight, haven't you buddy?" He wondered how long it would take for Ashe to pick up on what he was doing. "He probably couldn't fly even if he wanted to." Of course, enraging a loftwing was never a good thing, so he sent out the telepathic signal to Gwaihir to get his feathered butt over here just in case Caedmon got rowdy. Gwaihir was no pushover. Pretty. But not a pushover, and he trusted his loftwing to get the job done. tags: ashelia notes: ashe is an awful friend CODED BY ELECTRIC OF GS

Tag: Alex. Notes: Well, he wanted to like her. | O f course he had planned for this. Would he even register the fact she had never expressly agreed to not go flying? She had simply agreed to a compromise to visit their loftwings, but she had not said in exact words that she would not be flying. At times she wished he would find someone else to have an affection for. Ashe was very much capable of taking care of herself, since she was closer to Knighthood than he was. He could be such a rude, tactless, and insensitive youth at times that it grated on her nerves. She disliked the fact that she could not outright tell him to leave her alone. It was not that she did not view him as a friend, but did not see him in the way she wished she would. How confusing this age could be. The emotions that constantly changed and confused all who experienced them. She merely stared up at Caedmon with a small smile playing on her lips. Ashe warned him of what Alexander would try and do with her wish to fly in the rain, anyway. She knew him well enough to know that he would attempt to goad them both in some way. Her slim fingers slid through the silken plumage as she merely hummed idly at his words. Did he think that she would not know he would attempt to keep her on the ground, anyway? Crimson eyes had darted over to Alexander with a coldness that usually chilled most denizens of Skyloft. The sane ones, anyway. Ashe continued to stroke his feathers in a comforting manner as her friend began his tirade of insults to enrage her loftwing. Annoyance did flare within her when he called Caedmon a ‘fowl’ once again. Did he dare to call his own loftwing by such an insult? Caedmon certainly was annoyed, if the flare of emotions in her mind was anything to go by. All Ashe did was hoist herself onto his back as she settled herself comfortably and out of the way of his wings. Green eyes glimmered as she stared down at Alexander with a slight smile on her lips. “You forget that I know your tactics after these past few years. Now, join me or entertain Gwaihir’s annoyance for calling him out without a valid reason,” she called out with a wink. Blue wings expanded before Caedmon sailed upward with his rider clinging securely to his back. |
