"Grrr, will you just hold still! Wait. Where are you-" A bang and several crashes were followed by a loud screech. "Oh no you don't!"
Choly had put her arms to use in trying to subdue the temperamental bird successfully cutting off his escape attempt, which only seemed to irritate the loftwing all the more. The laguz couldn't have cared less, goddesses forbid she let her mount leave their home looking like that. The beasts russet feathers were stained black in places, courtesy of the ink pot her father had left lying around. Choly hoped it wasn't the expensive stuff. It had already been a set rule that there were no loftwings allowed inside the home, it was small enough as it was without feathered-fiend in the mix.
"Ow!" Amidst her thinking Russo had taken ample advantage of the situation and pecked the girls arm through the fabric. Finally free, Russo wasted no time in making a quick exit out the opened door and taking off into the sky, leaving his rider to slip a hand from her sleeves to assess the reddened skin. Choly stifled the exasperated sigh that desperately wanted out.
These quarrels weren't an uncommon event for the two, though Choly had to admit she was at fault this time around. After all, she had coerced her companion into entering the building in the first place. Either way, her efforts in attempting to wash the substance from his feathers hadn't settled well with Russo.
And what made matters worse? Choly would not have to likely spend the rest of the day hunting for her runaway mount. "I knew this day would be bad," she cried exasperatedly. "Ever since I landed face first out of bed." Her poor nose still ached from that too. Gathering her wits the laguz adjusted her hood to it's usual position and sluggishly left the house and started off down the word path, fully aware of how difficult it would be to find Russo with two feet planted firmly on the ground. If she was lucky maybe someone around town caught sight of him.
"Nya...better get started." Her voice held no amount of enthusiasm, riddled with hesitation more so than anything else. Once more she started to ponder the odd relationship she held with her loftwing. It really took the whole cat and bird dynamic to a whole new level.
