[/font][/div] War! Huh! What is it good for?! Absolutely! Nothing! On Eternity's End, the various rulers of the world can actually be played. As a result, political things and tensions are really inevitable. Sooner or later, someone is going to cause an international incident and things may or may not spiral entirely out of control. For when things just finally spill over and talks just aren't going to cut it, we have what we call the War System. The War System basically allows two (or more) countries to take their armies and go beat each other up until one side wins. They can use these armies to capture territories (boards) and whatnot. You're probably thinking that this is going to be incredibly numbery and that you're going to have to memorize all these small numbers and values. Well, it is very numbery. For me. The way this system has been made, you, the member, don't have to give yourself a migraine. The entire thing is behind the scenes so you won't even know how the numbers work, much less see them. I, being the masochist I am, don't mind number crunching this sort of thing, so I do all the math. The most math-y it ever gets for you, the member, is when dealing with costs to upgrade your army. Yes, that is a thing you can do. Anyway, the way battles work can be pretty easily explained. When a battle is to be fought, simply contact me, admin (Night), and let me know where it's going to be. I'll make a temporary sub board in that area for the battle. There I will put a thread that will keep the movements of the armies up to date. When the forces clash, a thread called a Skirmish will be put up so the forces can fight it out. However, when choosing the location, it must be an area that your armies can feasibly get to. Ylisse for example, couldn't just up and declare war on Hyrule, and then immediately break into Hyrule Castle Town. They'd have to first touch down, take the ports, take Hyrule field, etc etc. So where do you, the commanders come in for this? Well, when the movement tracker is made, I will give all commanders a map of the area. Every 24 hours (as that is when I will update the movement thread), PM me the map with your army's movements drawn on. Be sure to keep a copy of the unaltered map because otherwise it can get cluttered. You can also use your turn to do something like change your army's equipped weapons or scout and see what the enemy is using. If 24 hours pass with no word, then it's assumed the army did nothing. When two forces meet, they clash, and the fighting begins, which a separate thread will be made for. Separate clashes will get their own mini threads. This is where the players come in. The best way players on certain sides can help is getting in these threads and accomplishing their team's objectives. Victory results in a push in the right direction. The battle will officially end when the commander is either defeated, or decides to cut their losses and call it quits. Players must post every 24 hours or they will be assumed to have done nothing, which in the middle of a warzone, would be really, really bad. Truthfully, there is a bit of a time limit. Given enough time, skirmishes will resolve on their own, whether they'll resolve in your favor though is another story. Players, and commanders, can only be in one skirmish at a time. If something is going on elsewhere in the battle and you want in on that, you gotta leave the one you're in.[/font][/ul][/div][/blockquote]

[/font][/div] You saw it in the first post, here's the explanation. When the ruler gets accepted, they are given the various levels of their army. Because I'm not a sadist, should a ruler up and vanish, their eventual replacement won't have to start all over from scratch and the levels will carry over without issue. So what are the levels that you can upgrade to strengthen your army? HP - How long your army can last and an individual soldier's HP. Starts at 1 Heart and can be upgraded 4 times to 5 Hearts.
Weapons - What weapons your army can use. Weapons can be added by purchasing them from the weapons shop or other players who can make them. I really prefer you use the latter. Only Bronze, Iron, Steel, Silver, Anti-Laguz, and Anti-Manakete weapons can be purchased physically. All magic tomes however, are fair game.
Armor - How strong your army's armor is. Armor can be upgraded by purchasing it from the shop.
Racials - Bonuses. These actually have their own type of racial points that can be gained from accomplishing certain goals in battle. An army can only obtain the "x" Mastery that each race has.Laguz and Manaketes have it a bit easier. HP - How long your army can last and an individual soldier's HP. Starts at 1 Heart and can be upgraded 4 times to 5 Hearts.
Stones - What stones they can use. You can add stones by buying them from the weapons shop.
Armor - How strong your army's natural hide is. Armor can be upgraded by purchasing it from the shop.
Racials - Bonuses. These actually have their own type of racial points that can be gained from accomplishing certain goals in battle. An army can only obtain the "x" Mastery that each race has.The cost of each item is what it would normally be, multiplied by three. So it would be 3,000 to upgrade an army's HP, and 3x the weapon and armor cost to gain that as well. You probably wondered just how in the world you're going to afford top quality equipment in every sector. Well, truth is you're probably not. Chances are your army's going to excel in one or two areas. That said, you don't have to pay the whole thing yourself. As Ruler, you get a public fund of sorts. If people feel like donating, they can donate and help cover some of the costs to beef up your army and make your country's conquest all the more glorious. While players will likely be the biggest deciders in battles, maintaining and upgrading your army will make it that much harder for opponent players to achive their objective. Really, a no armor army with bronze swords compared to a fully upgraded armor army with silver swords, anti-laguz bows, and dragonpikes. Which do you think is better for hindering? A non Laguz/Manakete army, by default starts with 1 heart, no armor, one bronze weapon of your choosing, and no racials. Buy items for your army depending on what their strengths are (for example, a Hylian army would do well to have tomes thanks to their racial abilities.) A Laguz/Manakete army meanwhile, starts with 1 heart, no armor, no stones, and level 0 natural weapons. That's really all there is to it.[/font][/ul][/div][/blockquote]

[/font][/div] Well what the hell is this thing? This thing, is the dark god's medallion. It's a bronze medallion that is strongly tied to the fires of war. While OOCly, we know that this medallion contains Yune, what the characters believe is that it contains the spirit of a dark god and that waking up the dark god would be very very bad. Which, while Yune's not exactly evil, it would be bad for her to wake up. The legend goes that the dark god can awaken when the chaos of war reaches its full intensity, and that holds true here. Simply put, the longer a war drags on and the more intense it gets, the greater the chances for the dark god inside the medallion to awaken. What happens when the dark god wakes up? Well, some of you may know exactly what happens, but I'm not saying either way. So how exactly do you keep the dark god from waking up? Well the simplest answer is; don't go to war. Solve problems (the ninth character is k) diplomatically. But if you have to go to war, do what you need to do as fast as you can, and then end it. The longer it goes on the worse it's gonna get. So how exactly do you know when it's about to break loose? Surely there's a meter or something. There is, but I'm not showing it. Rather, if you're going to war, your character (and you, by extension) just has to pray that they're not the chucklefuck that pushes things over the edge and dooms them all. The only hint you'll get is that the longer a war goes on and the more nations that get involved, the faster the dark god wakes up. However, the longer you go without a war breaking out, the fires of the medallion will die down. Have fun![/font][/ul][/div][/blockquote]
