Saigu's efforts to re-establish his people first in all respects was to return to that which had conquered him before, the country of Ylisse. It was here that he was still not quite able to understand such an open and violent switch of a people that not ten to twelve years ago vied for world dominance, even to go so far as to strike at the neutrals such as Skyloft. Now, all there was was a simple peacekeeping force in which truthfully even now with their numbers even with their strength they could be easily crushed-but to what end it wouldn't suffice, for the Khans, both of them, did not have enough troops yet to be conquering and holding such territories. Not yet.
So this visit to the capital was a social call. Truthfully he was looking to make a group of retainers to guard him as the time went on, but for now when even his main forces were looking to train and be better equipped, he would wait. His eyes moved about as he walked, a walking stick on hand with Cassadane resting across his back and a pack for food and his travel gear behind it. His clothing was a moderately well made cut of a sleeveless green tunic, black pants and leather gauntlets, and his feet led him not with much purpose in mind as to simply explore. First after that purpose of movement he decided to move to the training sally. Peaceful or not, the martial arts likely were still valued individually here.

I WAS MEANT TO BE A WARRIOR PLEASE ► Rune had just experienced a very long day. At the very least it was a productive one. But a very very long one. To continue this long day, she was helping train solders in a training ground inside town. There were guards all around her as the young squires were all bested by the Exalt. Rune didn't normally do this kind of thing, but she wanted to take off some stress with some training and had asked if she could. So the squires were gathered together and now she was fighting them, explaining her methods. How their footing was wrong, and she wasn't even breaking a sweat, which was a little frustrating, but once again at least this was productive for someone. Just as she finished off another squire who was on his butt, she looked to see the Khan of the west walk in. Rune was a little confused but kept her head held high with a small smirk on her face. " Ah, Hello there." She spoke as friendly as Rune got.

Saigu had shifted the weight on his back once as he watched the squire promptly be set to his posterior and his expression was a shadow of a smile. It had been not ten years since his own backside was being after covered in dirt when the much taller former Khan was after teaching him several techniques of her own to be using. By that range however, this woman was somewhat smaller then his teacher, and at his own height she was a good foot shorter then himself. But at that range he had been particularly keen to respect such opponents, for they learned how best to keep a larger opponent at bay-at least this one looked to have that ability.
"Greetings." He inclined his head, looking about. There seemed to have been several who had entertained her manner of class and his expression was thoughtful. "Might I ask if this place is being used by the keepers of the peace in this land, or are all allowed to use it today?" His eyes swept back to Rune, nodding politely. "I am Saigu Ironswift, and I would be grateful if any wish to introduce yourselves that are more of experience and confidence in their skill. If it is not assuming, perhaps I might be able to assist with a visual representation of mock combat for the learning ones to observe."

I WAS MEANT TO BE A WARRIOR PLEASE ► The runt that Rune had just pushed down onto his bottom, shot up with his little cheeks flushed. Giving him a glance, the young man ran back into the group of squires, and she nodded. Glad that he had understood her wishes. Giving her attention back to the Khan she shook her head " Ah, you're welcome to train here anytime." she told him. " We just were using the space." She added looking back at them, waiting to see if anyone had accepted the offer that was obviously directed towards her. Sighing softly she threw her Falchion onto her shoulder. " I suppose if I'm the only one willing to stand up, I shall." She said as though it was nothing. Though, inside she was grinning from ear to ear, glad for a challenge after all this time. " My name is Rune Darius, it's a pleasure." She spoke flipping her long hair out of her face.

Saigu nodded as she gave the information he sought-so it wasn't an official reservation at least; he was aware how some nobles were about it, and being found floundering in public, especially with a foreigner in attendance, could certainly make one nervous or apprehensive. As it stood only the trainer seemed to take up his offer, and to be honest he was a bit glad. There might be several who could at least handle themselves, but it was better they observe and watch when one uses a hand and a half blade in full use. He had found his style was much akin to Rune's own falchion perhaps, but he would have to see her better at play rather then a finishing move.
He shifted his posture to where he was ten paces from her. His muscles gripped and tensed as he brought the wider blade to his face in the form of a salute, his right arm for the moment swinging behind him. "The pleasure is mutual." He smiled lightly. "Let us begin when you are ready." Once she indicated and was in stance Saigu kicked off his right foot and landed on his left, his blade coming down in a downward slash as more of a testing swing. If the blades made contact his left foot would push back, giving about a half foot of distance to resume between them, his blade ready to riposte at need. His right hand now splayed behind him, as if keeping balance while his legs kept loose and slightly bent.
